It’s was a really hard year for him to get a nomination Josh Groban was nominated, David Hyde Pierce, Christian Borle for Falsettos and it went to Ben Platt for Dear Evan Hansen it was just a really competitive year.

@@Callie_Castle love Corey but Ben gave one of the greatest performances ever. honestly, they all had all time great performances. i can argue Corey for some, but for sure not against them.

I actually took this as a sick acting choice. Like he changed his mind with how he would start the first verse of the form. His character is so musical that he thinks poetically, but this fact becomes his only train of thought and it makes him resentful of less talented folk who are more successful. Also he doesn’t physically pause on those silent beats meaning he doesn’t give a crap about the music he just wants what’s his for once. So cool
