What I love is that she always thanked her fans. Every video, someone yells, she says thank you. She knew she was where she was because of her fans. So humble.

this is at the Apollo Theater, she as a little nervous during sound check, she was known as a disco queen and a pop singer, and the Apollo is all about soul. She hosted the show that night and she had the audience in the palm of her hand. She sang disco, pop but she was a str8 up Gospel and soul singer. They loved her at the Apollo Theater and what a really nice lady she was .And one of the greatest singers to ever live RIP heaven gets to hear you everyday now

I can absolutely see how that could be intimidating for her. A lot of people don't know that Donna also grew up singing in church - her voice was so versatile and her catalog is amazing. RIP Donna.

NOBODY stood flat-footed and "belted" like DONNA SUMMER! Even the Apollo gave her her "props!"

Again why this wasn’t a single off Mistaken Identity (and all the concerts I saw er at 1993 onward this and friend unknown were never sung!). Amazing how she sings different;y over the tract from the album. Amazing as always
