I graduated in 1978, just part of my high school memories dancing to Donna Summer. One of the artists that brings tears to my eyes by the strength of that voice.

She gets up there and belts out her songs with little effort because she had real talent - no electronic help, no taking clothes off, no nasty moves - just pure talent.

Have to add Michael Jackson in there. He made everyone get down at his concerts and jam. I saw both in concert and they both were amazing. Donna and Michael are dearly missed.Loved them both.

Omg! Was she not so strikingly beautiful and rocking the hell out of that black cocktail dress???!!!!!!!!!! I still don't at times even today over the world's loss of one of the greatest voices of our generations and generations to come. Thank God her music and glass shattering vocals will live on and fill dance floors around the world with her legendary vocals and music for generations yet to come!

I have been a diehard fan of Donna since I was 12 years old. I know every song she ever recorded by heart and above all else, it is her live performances that are my favorite songs of hers. That really says a lot about her eternal talent. She has woven her songs around my heart and my world is brighter because of her incredible voice. RIP dear Donna.

I really enjoyed this video, This concert in 1999 was incredible and outstanding. Both Donna's voice, the background singers and the band and live arrangement is some of the best live music i ever heard in my life - and I'm 58 years of age. The musical arrangement of Bad Girls is in my humble opinion brilliant and epic. Listen to the saxophone, drums and guitar together with her perfect voice.. A heavenly experience.

If you think getting before a crowd and performing doesn't take any effort you are sadly mistaken. I did it for over 40 years. I really enjoyed it making people happy but it took a lot of effort. Traveling, keeping your instruments in working order and setting up the stage takes a lot of work.

Donna Summer was a splendid jazz singer who could sing whatever stile she wanted to sing. Any label is unfair.

Aaaaaaah the "disco era". So many memories for those fortunate enough to have lived it. So much has changed. Social life, dance clubs, getting into Studio 54 was some kind of exciting experience. NO lockdown, NO masks, NO electronic devices to keep us apart. Just pure fun!

My favorite singer of all time. No words can express my love for her and her talent. I am her #1 fan!!!

You are so right. This woman had an incredible voice - and she sang effortlessly. I saw her in the late 1990's and she sounded even better than her records. And she mostly just stood there like she was talking to someone, but this booming voice came out and she could carry a note forever. Notice how on this video she had to hold the microphone away from her at times. An absolutely amazing singer who completely deserves to be in the Rock and Roll hall of fame - too bad they didn't admit her before her death. A true loss.
