I feel bad for Donna having to deal with this BS during an interview about her music. WTF were you guys thinking of doing this to her? Fortunately she's obviously a very cool person for just letting it go, but I wouldn't blame her if she never went back there again. The way she dealt with it made her even more attractive than Sam than she already was.

I was just about to comment that! The second she actually started talking about her music and the label and everything, he tuned out and showed the picture of the guy and called him. Ugh

So much cringe. She was there to talk about her music. I imagine this must have been incredibly uncomfortable for her to sit through. “What other famous girls have you done?” Seriously!? So gross! How about people take women’s careers and artistry more seriously.

Wow, what a ridiculously heinous interview. The very first track on Donna’s album is about women rising up above society’s attempts to pit them against each other, and in turn build each other up. It’s about women forgetting all the vitriol that was forced upon them in order to achieve their fullest potential. It’s about women coming together with shared experiences and trauma, and learning strength from that. It’s honestly pitiful what they did in that room. Not to mention how unprofessional it was to bring Sam, their employee, in to talk about her personal life as well. Donna and her art should not have been subjected to that ridiculous tirade of boy drama from almost a decade ago. “What other famous girls have you done”? “Who’s the better kisser”? How did this have to do with “her start”? If you’d have asked the right questions, you would know that she started making music for a very long time before releasing it. She spent years finding her voice, perfecting her craft, and growing/maturing/learning as a person before she released anything. That level of thought, care, and dedication deserves some damn respect. Not this disgraceful display of absurdity. Massive kudos to Donna for handling it with such grace and dignity.
