Donna Mills on How "Knots Landing" was the "This Is Us" in the 80's
Donna Mills will be receiving a Career Achievement Award from the Pacific Pioneer Broadcasters this Friday at the Sportsmen's Lodge in Los Angeles. This segment aired on the KTLA 5 Morning, News, Thursday, February 06, 2018.

Donna still looks amazing. She's also a wonderful actress and a lovely lady, always makes time for her fans. A true star.

Donna was stunning in her younger days and still is. Beautiful lady in side and out and great actress.
She still looks amazing!
I saw an article in the supermarket yesterday and it had her on the cover. I could not believe she looked so good, but this is proof she does. I remember Knots Landing and loved that show. She is such a great actress and this interview shows a person too. I am a firm believer in what is inside, projects on the outside. Good for her!

I have been a fan of Donna since I saw her in Play Misty For Me in the summer of 1972. She is awesome!
Still beautiful, so classy, I loved her as Abby she owned the chatacter. There could never be anyone who could play that role as beautifully as Donna did. A reboot of Knots Landing with Donna Mills, and the original cast that are still around, would be amazing, Ill definitely watch it. xx🤗

Cannot believe she is pushing 80.
Donna looks wonderful. Huge Knots fan back in the day. I watched Dallas to but Knots was my show every Thursday night for 14 years. Didn't miss an episode. Not sure how a reboot or remake would work at this point. Would the cul de sac be turned into a retirement village? I think I'll just keep my memories of the original. Oh, and it's Tuesday, February 6, 2018, not Thursday.

I really miss this show. Thursday nights watching Donna and the rest of the cast was so much fun. Thank you GaGa for introducing me to my favorite show of the 80’s. I don’t believe a show this wonderful will ever be made again.

I can't believe you still can't get Knots Landing's 14 seasons on DVD or streaming. They only released two seasons several years ago.

But at least in the U.S. you have the SoapNet channel and other Soap opera Channels it might be on to watch it. In Canada and other countries, we got sucked in to buying the first 2 seasons, and nothing, since we can't get those channels.

I was so excited to see Valeene and Gary on the Dallas reboot on TBS. I was so hopeful there would be a Knots Landing reboot, or at least a scene with Val calling Karen back in Knots Landing. Donna is correct, nostalgia is hot right now. Even a reunion movie would be great.

She looks great. I was a huge KK fan. Different than the others I agree. That being said like many other shows I think it was in too long. Story lines got stale and I eventually fell off. But great memories. Even dreamy at the time Alec Baldwin.

Knots Landing was a great show, but to say it was "This is Us" is a bit of hyperbole.
Sorry Donna but as enjoyable as "Knots Landing" was, it's true successor was "Melrose Place" NOT "This Is Us"......

Her point was more that Knots Landing, although soapy, differentiated itself from Dallas, Dynasty, and Falcon Crest by having characters that were "real" middle class suburbanites rather than wealthy tycoons.

I disagree. There were definitely Melrose Place elements in KL, but they definitely did the human element as well as any show in the 80s and early 90s.
