bebop soloing on a bass is bloody difficult and the audience appreciate that
Jaco is beyond brilliant here, what a great performance, thanks for posting!
With every donna lee performance of Jaco I discover, it just goes faster and faster...
Great performance! Tough tune to pull off on bass. Awesome trumpet solo
It's hard to find a good Jaco's solo from this period and yet this one is splendid!
IN THIS SHOW, JACO PLAYS A ' 62 FENDER JAZZ BASS...HE CHANGED THE ORIJINAL 2 PIECE CONTROL POTS AND REPLACED THEM WITH THE 3 KNOB ( VOL VOL TONE ) CONTROL SYSTEM...THE BASS HE IS USING ACTUALLY IS A FRETTED ONE...JACO PULLED OUT THE FRETS OF IT AND PUT EPOXY RESIN ( SIMPLE BOAT EPOXY ) INTO THE FRET LINES, WHICH HAS BEEN IMITATED BY MOST OF THE BASS GUITAR COMPANIES...MAY HE REST IN LOVE AND PEACE...
This is cool
