I don't think they're upscaled, it's more likely the videos are in their originally rendered resolution and due to the physically smaller resolution limit on the Switch itself, the pre-rendered scenes look upscaled when watched on a phone or high res computer screen

@@icedbergamot I'm telling you they are. Or he must've did something different them. I'm watching on a Samsung S22 Ultra with a 3088 x 1440 display and the scenes still look nicer then I remember them. I went to another KZread video that showed off the pre rendered cuteness and they looked worse. More pixelated and blurrier than these

They definitely are AI upscaled. As well as AI interpolated. The original cutscenes were not at 60fps and you can tell by occasional jittering. If you pause on a lot of moving frames you will see very warped images. Surprised that not many people have noticed
