nahhh I never thought it was hinted at in the drama that the two leads are gay and are romantically involved. Dong shi clearly loves him like he loved his old partner, like a mentor and older brother. while hang ju admires dong shi and looks to him for appreciation, acceptance and respect something he never truly got from his father. the two leads find trust and solace in one another and come to love each other like comrades and brothers. Not every love has to be romantic and lustful!

@@nancyjones5971 .. who's to say your interpretation is the objectively accurate one though? im not here trying to start fights but you inserting that their relationship was strictly how you interpreted it is the same as me saying that it was strictly romantic, since we're both drawing from the subtext in the show. it's not harming anyone to say that their relationship had love of some kind, it's up to the viewer what kind of love they take away from it. if you see it that way it's completely okay, and other interpretations are ok too. it was probably written that way on purpose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@@nancyjones5971 You know Korea is still extremely homophobic right?, we are never gonna get explicit mlm or wlw relationships on mainstream TV any time soon(with few exceptions), lgbt folks have to largely rely on these subtle subtexts and small ques to see themselves represented on screen. So when people come around and twist every close same sex relationship into some kind of friendship or brotherly love, it does nothing but perpetuate heteronormativity and a gateway to turn explicitly queer experience into a straight one.

As an anthropologist I understand this hegemonic heteronormative, the actors (I'm almost sure both are gay), must have courage to show their selves as gays. This would be the opportunity and in the script they never openly assumed their love even it's clear. They would be important for people in Korea. It's necessary to show diversity. It's a shame. I never thought they would be ship when I was watching this drama. For me their relationship is something extraordinary and at the end of the series they ended up holding a lot of respect towards each other. It is like they found something meant to be or chosen by fate. For me not a ship or anything sexual, but beautiful and something I will never forget. I hope a lot of people will see this drama. Beautiful mv 🖤

I still believe one day they will have their own BL drama 😭💖💕

Hope we won't wait to long...and it will be a long BL, not a 10min/8episodes kind of BL...and the story would be interesting...I don't mind if it's not of romance genre...actually it would be better if it's not: romance focused stories often lack of originality a plot...they need some original story with more fire between them than Beyond evil🤭

The chemistry between the two was crazy 💖 I mean two officers who wouldn't leave each other no matter what, what more do I want 😂 I am in love with this drama.

I honestly started watching this drama because of the fact that the main characters were two partners in the police. I never imagined that their chemistry would be such a wonderful thing. They were enemies, they suspected each other, they didn't trust each other but as time went by, they started to respect each other and be real partners. I can't describe how amazing their friendship is I was just crying at the end of the drama like a baby. This is my favorite drama so far.

I can't define their chemistry with simply "no hetero explanation" phrase coz it's not a convincing enough..it's being "Seoulmates" just like Zhao Yunlan ,Shen Wei and word of honor couple tht make my heart beat faster (2pm), All l can say is thx for dying Kang Jin Mook.. thx to you we got to see their crazy bromance and chemistry exploding more and more with increasing tension...

Now I began to wonder if Dongshik really has some kind of intention towards Juwon. We already know from Juwon's side (why he wanted to move to Manyang and such). And if there is, is it related to Han Gi Hwan (like Dongshik already had a guess about his involvement in YY's death). 2 more episodes left and this drama is honestly the best that I watched in 2021!

At 2:18 the way Dongsik just leans into the wall, the way he relaxes his posture and gets all slinky around Juwon... It happens a few times in the show and it's awesome character work by Shin Hakyun!

this was so well edited!!! i feel like ive seen so many edits where it's just random clips put in any order but this video feels like it has a storyline. didnt realize how immersed i was getting into the video until i felt like i might cry when during the scene where joo won is pounding his chest while holding the gun. the lead up to it was so good. and the end was perfect too... i think i've just seen too many mediocre edits that are kinda slapped together with an emotional sounding song in the bg but wow this one's really good

Tbh it’s very weird and at the start there was no such feeling at ALL but idk how ..slowly & gradually I could see the chemistry (exploded).

They have a wonderful chemistry together. Amazing drama, actors... But if these two were a woman and a man, people would have said it's the couple of the year. But when it's about two men, it's only bromance. Double standard as always.

First funniest scene already sent me to floor rolling when he tried to kidnap In Woo's bro Joon.. his being lonely, bullied pushover outcast personality made it easier for him to believe his a killer as u can not go around and say "check the content of the diary guess it's mine" 😂😂🤣🤣🔥🤣🤣
