    I bet you are starting your 4AM baling schedule soon, beats the heat and get all the hay baled. that's a lot of field work. I love the smell of fresh cut alfalfa. That bale stacker still amazes me that it works like it does (I know there is a correct name for it, but I can't think of it now)

    I assume that is alfalfa. How many cuttings do you generally get in a season? Does the warmer climate allow you to maybe get a few extra cuttings that you might not get in more northern areas? I’ve learned a lot watching your channel.

    Growing up here in MN (yes a long time ago) my dad felt fortunate to get 3 cuttings / season. I think we had a 8ft sickle mowing then raked and baled the hay when it was dry enough. We loaded it on wagons, elevated it off the wagons into area above the dairy cattle. It was extremely hot & nasty up there stacking bales.....no pun intended.....lol SO MUCH MANUAL LABOR BACK THEN-- --a real character builder!
