What I'm getting at is, it's a waste of resources, that Ukraine could be spending hitting strategically vital points of interest. The Kerch Bridge has been out of function, at least as far as military affairs are concerned, for a while now. There's no reason to keep chasing it.

As a Russian citizen, I too have long laughed at the Anglo-Americans' obsession with the Crimean (that's what it's called, not Kerch) bridge. Military analysts say that weak in wars on land, these nations, especially the British, their advisers, always go for sea, water infrastructure, dams, bridges. The effect on the population of Russia is ridiculous, there will be no good effect for the West, there is a war, all people understand that any object with the proper resources can be hit, and then rebuild, and it is even good that it is a bridge, not living people. Same with events like Crocus, many people have been waiting for them since 2022. It's part of life, part of war. It will just give Russia points in PR plan on the international arena as a retaliatory measure to destroy something from the Ukrainian critical infrastructure,, which Russia has not touched so far, Ukraine has many of them. So what will be interesting here is first of all Russia's response, last time after the bridge was blown up there were strikes, for the first time, on Kiev, the whole territory of Ukraine, and the wonderful videos of these strikes caused a lot of Russians to cheer because people were not happy that the Kremlin was holding back.

Re "reparation loans," when one uses custodial funds to secure a loan without the owner's consent, that is legally defined as theft. The custodian is also commiting embezzlement under all known bodies of law.
