Majority of kids don't have views/stances on immigration, religion, and politics, and if they do they're not as passionate or involved as an adult is, and I know this cuz I am a millenial myself and throughout the years of growing up I never got into a conversation of immigration, religion, education, politics--what have you, because kids don't care about that stuff in general. It falls to the parent to teach them how to think, not what to think.

The exact opposite is the case

Because "blind" doesn't mean you can't see at all. It originally meant you couldn't see adequately. A good deal of people who are blind can see to a degree, often only in one eye.
