Funniest part about this whole parody is that it's all pretty true, unfortunately for the Republican Party. The reason Trump won is the same as the reason Dubya won in 2000, only in more states this time. They had a program that purged people from the voting rolls, and that program conveniently didn't care about middle names or suffices such as jr/sr, and it was designed to go after people with certain names that represented demographics most likely to vote Democrat. They did this so they could keep a hold of Congress in the event of a Hillary win (which you can't deny everyone had expected for a pretty long time). A small fraction of those people receiving just treatment would have moved the needle. In fact, were it not for tons of court rulings leading into the election trying to prevent this sort of thing, it would have looked like a landslide for Republicans instead of a squeaker. An impression had nothing to do with it, and saying it does isn't hurting anyone though you might come in your hands thinking so.

One also needs to consider that such a wall's construction would likely cost $25 billion in total. Maintenance wouldn't be that hard (it's just a wall in a dry and geologically inert area). Divide that $25 billion over several years for construction and it's really not that bad for a country with an economy of over $16 trillion. That's sixteen thousand billion every year. And rising.

Just a heads up, there still may be a way out of this where we are spared a Trump presidency. The electoral college still hasn't cast its votes yet--that happens on 12/19. Constitutionally, they are allowed to vote for whoever they want. Its an old safeguard set in place to keep popular-but-unfit candidates from getting swept into office. Ironically it was set up since information travelled so much slower in olden days. If just 38 people (out of 290) decide that the US and the world is better off without him in the oval office, we could very well have a December Surprise for the first time ever. This is a petition with 4.5 million votes and counting. It represents the first in a series of steps to gain traction/raise awareness.
