"Listen to the radio "is one of his song as a kid growing up in rural Alabama in the fall we'd all family and neighbors meet up at my grandparents house and listen to Mohamed Ali fight Joe Frazier, Jerry Clower telling jokes ,and of course Bear Bryant and the Crimson tide play football the elders would tell stories about war, hard times ,life in general," Aunt Claydell I called her was a black lady and uncle Tom although we were not related but we was family, she'd tell me that she didn't understand about all the race stuff in the world "wees all just peoples" she'd say to me and I never really knew what that was till i went to school. It was always troubling for most people who lived in the south to be labeled racist because of a select few rich white people in the city pushing the stuff here. Out in the country we was all kind to each other and helped each other (black, white or indian) . "I believe in you" reminds me of my parents and grandparents long marriages my mom raising me as my dad was fighting in Vietnam and my mom staying loyal and reading me letters with alligator tears in her eyes . DON WILLIAMS sang songs that was about the good in people he was a true gentleman who played with serious back pain and normally always sitting on a stool with his guitar but his music was pain free and humble. I hope that wasn't to long ,I could tell you stories for days . I love you two y'all make my day .

@@TexasVagabond you’re not kidding? George Jones,George Strait,Waylon Jennings and Conway Twitty just to name a few. Alabama produce some good ones too though.
Don Williams is one of the best. I love his manly smooth voice. He doesn't have a bad song. He has a lot of music out there.
♥ There's a saying in country music that all you need is three chords and the truth.

A quote from Willie. Nice.
This got me emotional 💗 My foster father who came into my life at 8 years old, was a huge fan of Don Williams. We would have karaoke sessions on drives to wherever we were going. He'd take the top of the gear stick off & use it as a microphone 😄🥰🤧 People use to give me horrible looks & say racist things to me, but they said it once & once only because he didn't play. He was well respected in the community & if you upset me, you upset him. I lost him suddenly when I was 14 & he was 45. He was my hero. I find myself randomly singing Dons songs & I know its my dad sending me a message

@@kylesummers1565 He really was 💗
I was a radio DJ in the 80s & I was at a particular theater to host a Don Williams concert. Me & my wife were backstage as I was waiting to go on to introduce him. My wife saw one of those big silver coffee pots plugged in on a table backstage & she went to go pour her a cup. As she did so Don Williams came out from his dressing room & walked straight to the coffee pot. I watched as he just stood there behind my wife waiting his turn. No entourage, no stage manager pusher her out of the way, just Don Williams waiting in line behind my wife. When Stacy was done stirring her cup she turned around to see Mr. Williams standing right behind her giving her a start. I was laughing as she is only 5'2" & Don William was like a foot taller than she was. She said, "I'm sorry!" and and he said, "No problem, miss" in his deep, gentle voice. A few minutes later I received my que and curtains lifted & I went to the mic & introduced him. Then we found our seats & enjoyed his show. I've met a lot of celebrities during my career & I can say Don Williams was truly a gentleman.
Such a soothing voice. Don Williams is a legend.
This song is sooo old but still holds true today!!
Don Williams - "You're my best friend" was my Mom & Dad's song. My Mom had cancer & was in a coma. I played her this song when she fell into a coma & a tear ran down her cheek. 9 years later my Dad was in Hospice care in my home. He fell into a coma. I played him this song, and a tear ran down his cheek. My 49 year old Sister in 2020 fell into a coma from COVID, a tear ran down her cheek. They never woke up but all 3 of them left with the same reaction to 1 amazing song. God bless
One of the smoothest voices in country.

Absolutely ❤
Don has a great voice and a lot of great tunes. A real original, nobody quite like him.
One of my favorite artists! Check out "Lord I Hope This Day Is Good" or "Good Old Boys Like Me".
Don always reminds me of my dad. My biological grandfather grew up in backwoods PA, he met me once when I was about a year old and passed shortly after but his music taste lived on through dad. As a kid I remember groaning on Sunday morning when dad was making waffles and he'd have his old honky-tonk records playing. Now I appreciate it and understand it so much better. I love that Jai is so comfortable in her "self care" face on camera and that you guys are just having fun and living the good vibes mantra. Love y'all.
Thank you for doing Don Williams. He has always been my favorite Male country singer. His humility and quiet nature added such greatness to his music. It's his calm presence that added so much. Pure soul.
If you're from the south, you remember your maw maw and paw paw dancing cheek to cheek to this one...I sure do!
Give that baby some shine time, what a beautiful blessing.
First Recorded By Don Williams In 1977, Inflation Was High, Block long lines at gas stations, jobs scarce, Almost As Bad As Today, a comfortable Song In Hard Times, Couldn't Help but tap my feet along with You. 👍👍👍👍
Most people call what he's talking about as ''The simple life''. He only cares about the most important things and pushes away the superficial things just to have a better grip on life.
Greatest country singer of all time. The man can make you feel his voice!
This comment's coming from a 63-year-old white man. What I mean by that is this is my era of music, maybe even a little before my time. To see your generation enjoying this and commenting on it. Well let's just say it put a smile on my face. Thank you. Your take on it was refreshing and funny. I might even start following you.
Don Williams was a staple when I was growing up. Love love love love his songs. Love your reactions and y'all look amazing to me regardless of what you're thinking
Remember this was written in 1977. He is one of my favorite singers
The Gentle Giant , can still touch my soul. My daddy loved this man
Nowadays in my opinion this song is important... people need to get back into the mindset of the things that don't matter (salaries, the price of your car or the size of your house... etc. Doesn't matter) what matters is how good you are to other people... period. This man speaks facts all throughout this song.
You two are listening to country singers I listen to every day and for the past 70 years. Keep it alive introducing good music to your children.
Don Williams, called the Gentle Giant, awesome songwriter, singer.
My Grandma Ruby and Grandpa Bal used to dance to Old Don all the time, My alarm to get up every morning is Don Williams TULSA TIME !!!! Still reminds me daily of them
"You're my best friend" by him is the best love song. "Amanda" is a vocal tour de force.
Sweet Lady you have got this prettiest, sweetest smile. Ya'll seem to be so right for one another.
This reminds me of my dad. As a kid I've carried this song in my heart I love Don Williams tho I'm not a big country fan I grew up around it and this was always my favorite 💯🧡 thanks guys

so much country reminds me of my dad too but espically Don his music is just recognisable, brings back memories.,
Saw him at the Astrodome in the early 80's. Just him and 2 other guys with guitars and no drums. Awesome time.
He was highly loved and regarded in the music industry. I LIKED his music, in small doses.
Loved Don Williams when I was a kid, especially this song. And I know singer Chris Stapleton likes him to because he wears a Don Williams cap a lot of times!❤️
"The Gentle Giant," Don Williams, released this song back in 1980, and the lyrics are as important today (if not more so) as they were back then.
I've requested this many times but can't remember where but y'all are the 1st of my channels to play it. This songs message is what the world needs more of imo✌️🤘😎
Don has influenced so many Artists in Country music.
Your little helper popping win the background and around the edges was too cute!
The most rebel thing to do in Nashville for the last 20 years, is make country music. RIP all the legends gone too soon.
❤This song got me in my feelings. It makes me think of my dad he used to play it on his record player back in the day. It was a little single 45 vinyl record. Thank you so much for reacting to it. Y’all always make me smile. Much love to you both.
The words to this song are so beautiful; this is one of those songs that I have no idea how I know it (grew up in NYC) but still love it to this day.
Love him too😊. Best part of vid is the little kid (baby) peeking between your shoulders😇
One of my all time favorite artists. He sang about his life, and never changed who he was. Hey. If yall wanna hear the greatest story teller off all time, listen to some Marty Robbins. El Paso, or Big Iron, something like that. If you listen to how the music flows with the lyrics on an emotional level, he can really take you places.
Burt Bacharach passed away today. He was a great composer. React to this one. Celia Black *"Alfie"* Bacharach plays the piano and directs the strings while Celia belts it out.
Love Don Williams! Isn’tvit amazing- or sad- the same concerns of the 70’s is still on the surface. Some stuff just didn’t get resolved. Honesty and simple. Love his songs!
Love everything about Don Williams. My favorite artist for over 40 yrs. Please react to more. He has so many great songs
Ole Don was Sentimental lover of alot of things

OG country legend...love me some Don Williams ❤❤
Beautiful song! My personal favorite of his. And seeing that lil sweet pea of yours brightened my day! ❤️😁
Slow-dancing 2-stepping...Epitomizes the essence of country music. Love the Kid photo-bombing! Peace, Love!!
This song is absolutely on one of my playlists. I have a playlist where it has every genre you can think of for every mood you can think of to 50 our playlist of probably some of the best music ever recorded from a crossed every genre of music.
I kill a lot of time on reaction channels but I can honestly say this... Of all the reactors I watch, yall seem like the 2 that I'd like to chill with the most. Great personalities. Keep going.
That baby behind you stole the show; beautiful!
Grew up on Don Williams. Always loved hearing his smooth voice and lyrics growing up in Alabama to. ❤️
He did this song 40yrs ago and nothings changed. It's sad.
Don Williams heart beat in the darkness is straight fire yall
Finally! You've found Don Williams! Enjoy!
I would love to see you two react to Hillbilly Heaven written by Eddie Dean and recorded by the Famous Tex Ritter in 1961. Tex was the father of actor John Ritter most notable as Jack Tripper in the hit TV sitcom Three's Company that ran for 7 years . John passed away in 2003...
1977 was a different time. It was a simple song that talked about God, love, and family.
What an adorable little cutie pie ❤❤❤
Don Williams is awesome and a deep library.
"Lord I Hope This Day is Good" by Don! 💚🤙
He was a legend story teller and his voice was velet.velvet. please check out his hits. Great to see you two are back reacting.
That was fun n too cute with the little ones backing y'all up!!!
I used to love Don Williams as a kid. Haven’t heard that since I was probably 17.
This song was b4 my time and I'm older than y'all.. but the words still resonate... beautiful song. Oh wait a minute.. who is that beautiful baby... how gorgeous
I think it's so cute that YOUR baby showed up during this song!
Don is one of the greats
Sometimes “I don’t care” is the best self care.
Don Williams is known as the Gentle Giant as he was a big man. But very kind. Great songs to react to are Lord I hope this day is good, Your my best friend, Tulsa time, Good ole boys like me, amanda, im just a country boy, among many others
Half and Jai are amazing people. Thank you for your reactions to great music🙌♥️
The gentle giant Mr. Don Williams
Thank you for reacting to this song, thank you, really!🙏
Such a great song! I texted this to my husband months ago, hoping to bring a smile! Rarely hear it on the radio.
God y'all digging deep back in the day. Taken me back to a time. When spent more time in the honky tonks. Being from the 70’s rock n roller. The only generation that can’t dance. Liked when Don Williams got played on the jukebox. That was belly rubbing music. Pull her in real close and groove really slow. easy to stay back and forth to keep time lol. Let her know how much you were into her.
Don Williams - Good Ole Boys Like Me. Doesn't get any better than that. Please listen
When you said I Belive in God I new you were in for a treat.
Love this song, but, I've gotta tell you, Jai, you are beautiful! Just a wonderful smile!
Look at that precious baby behind you, wanting some fame, lol! Love it!!!!
You’re my best friend by Don is a great listen.

This came out in ‘77 and it was HUGE!
You’re little one was killing me with the blinking 😂😂
This is a great song and was my grandpa’s favorite. You really should check out Don Williams Lord I hope this day is Good, if you haven’t
You have to check out John Conlee rose colored glasses, really an amazing song. It’s around the same time frame is this Don Williams song.
I love seeing your sweet baby boy!!!!!
One of my all time favorite songs
A Texas treasure and my second favorite. Only second to Willie! I think my favorite Don Williams song is "Listen to the Radio".
