Costars are people of equal importance. So you can say Pugh starred with Styles or vice versa. As for "lead" that just refers to the protagonist, but often the top billed actor and actress can call themselves the lead too. Both Pugh and Styles are top billed.

In reality, it looks more like Olivia couldn’t keep her hands off Harry during the whole production, while still being engaged to Jason and this made everything on-set really awkward and uncomfortable for everyone.
