So…it’s Brian Wilson’s birthday today!! He’s such an inspiration to me, with his incredible compositions and his determination to not let mental health issues overcome his passion for music. I decided to cover “Don’t Worry Baby,” one of his earlier compositions-I love the chord changes in the verse leading up to the chorus, which, admittedly by Brian, is a tribute to the chorus of “Be My Baby” sung by the Ronettes. This song has such a beautiful melody and amazing harmonies that just take me away to another place. Hopefully you enjoy my cover and check out Brian Wilson’s music, both with The Beach Boys and his solo stuff, trust me it’s worth it (and you can always ask me for recommendations I’m more than happy to oblige :)
