True, still the price tag Nexon puts on this time is still quite high, imagine how many people will buy the skin if its price is like League of Legneds; not even mentioning no P2P trading like Warframe and even colour paints requires cash for a one-time use is quite bad. However, the balance can be better.

The fact the paints are a one time use is insane to me. I bought the battlepass and that's it. The outfits are cool, but the price for them is outrageous. Still, I'm having fun playing the game so here's hoping they adjust the prices a bit. But I won't hold my breath.

you can grind them no matter what BUT the whole point of spending money to get them is to basically get them quicker compared to the grind time.

Tbh the best value for the battle pass would be to give back exact 500 calibre at least from the bp else if you want all the battle passes done you have to shell out 200 calibre every season that is if you don't buy anything else from the shop... the game is fun to play don't get me wrong but there is absolutely nothing that f2p players get except all the content not a single skin... at least they could've given a way to earn calibre in-game or a trade system like warframe has or some skins exclusively for like 4-5 million normal in-game currency I don't see this game to retain players in the long run

They did say that you'll be able to farm certain skins but some will remain in shop exclusives as most of the people who are spending money spend money on the obvious sex trap descendents I would imagine most things from shop would be like the school outfit for bunny that just makes it so you can see her underwear I'm fine with not being able to grind that

It will be easier for whales to grind the hard content in the game, maybe even as a solo. Free players will have to put a lot more work in and may struggle without at least one whale on the team. Can’t speak for this game but I know games like this

Exactly! The BP is the biggest waste, really nothing of value not even 1 Char skin. Just items to keep the treadmill running. Horrible video for a predatory game.

Whats stopping me from buying anything Is nexon reputation of killing games if they dont perform. This Is not like Warframe wit DE decided to stick with the game and make it work. The lack of commitment is issue for me word is cheap.

Nice video. I’m curious how this game progresses because none of the monetary stuff seems that predatory. The model is very similar to warframe’s model and the wait time is a lot nicer vs warframe’s 3 day wait. So far I think the best things to buy are slots and boosters.

I am currently a little over 20 hours in and I have to say it’s not looking so great. The farming system is EXTREMELY slow and unrewarding. I spent one whole hour getting one spiral component for Freyna, which was 20%. I also spent 13 hours to get 1 Ultimate component. I might drop this game just because of how unrewarding it is

Can´t compare this monetization to Warframe dude XD. Yeah the "Style" is similar, but the prices are waaaay bigger here. To start, you can get up to 75% discount on warframes plat, wich makes 10$ in warframe equivalent to 50ish$ here. Second, the value of the Platinum is higher. In warframe you spend 4.5$ and can get 3 items that doubles your mod capacity, here each one is 5$ per. Third, In Warframe the battlepass is free for everyone, with all rewards and shop items, not paying for more loot. And, imo, 100$ for an ultimate and a couple cosmetics its rdiculously outrageous XD. Oh, and if i´m not mistaken ( Can´t say for sure cause you cant "paint" the base skin, witch its ridiculous XD ), paints for skins are a 1 time use. All Said, the game is fun, and i don´t mind the grinding ( Even tho some % are crearly made for you to pay up, cause 0.5% chance in some items is ridiculous ) thats for sure, and yeah, the crafting timers are a godsend for someone that has been playing warframe for 11 years XD.

I'm not fully convinced. Why other content creators saying that item included in the battle pass is pretty terrible and not things you should be spending money on in the first place. I don't really want to look at monetary value. I want to know what's most important to me as player / necessary to progress into more content and ect. Maybe a better metric would "time saved per dollar" where time saved is how long it would take to grind said item as a free to play player.

How can I use the paint for customize the character? I know in the beta is was simple to just click on the armor you had and change it but now you can't equip or change the color on the basic armor you get? Or how is that now?

Yeah, I bought the 100 dollar caliber, and I bought Battle Pass and Package c for Healer, and I don't know what else to buy. But that's my way of supporting the game and perhaps something good like a cosmetic or something I will but later. But everyone concern on the cash grab is over hype. I don't see myself putting more money into this game ever, and I plan on playing for a while. Honestly, the only thing worth buying is the pass, and if you want a C tier frame that you don't want to wait for, otherwise save your money. I think cosmetic items are the only thing people might purchase moving forward

@williammiller496 100 dollars for a sports game is basically a roster update. There is not much change from year to year. Ps5 game starts at 70 for me. I have not bought a game this year and wanted to support the product. Unlike other free games, they made it so you legitimately don't need any money to play, so it's a nice thing. Basically, I get battle pass forever now. But you're right in this game. No money is needed. I am impressed and good for us.

Most battle passes on other games operate the same as this one with the free stuff

With some characters being easier to unlock and some harder I want to know which character (if I was definitely going to buy one) would make the most sense to buy.

You can get a smaller ultimate pack for around 40$ just comes with the ultimate character and skin I think it’s worth it for a FREE game to start with a stronger character a skin to customize also if you really like the game why not support it for longevity

No. The ultimate descendants are separate descendants from the regular version. So unlocking Bunny by the small grind does not make Ultimate Bunny cheaper because you already have Bunny unlocked. Ultimate Bunny is considered a separate descendant from its regular counterpart and you will have to level it up separately as you would any other descendant

When you buy a descendant ticket do you get all the descendants in the ticket or only one?

Just want to also put it put it out there , there is a incentive based programme running with content creators , if you register as a supporter to a content creator they get commission from your purchases in game , so please take videos about this games mtx with a grain of salt

I think the battle pass should allow you to make your caliber back. At the end of the day they still got 10 bucks out if you for access to the battle pass and your playtime to level up the battle pass.

The premium ultimate bundle wasn't worth it to me, because the backpack and spawn were not useful and you can get the consumables separately for what amounts to less than the difference. I also didn't need them at the time, so that was a factor as well. Good video though.

I think only the battle pass is worth it if you play it a decent amount of time and you might get some credits to get some kind of skin

P2W games have 3 phases, honeymoon, futility, pay or quit. The futility phase is where the majority see the pay wall, then hit the last phase and quit. I thought the game had promise until I saw the price of the energy activators, which you need 4 of at $24 per, which are essential for performance, which can be farmed for free in area where they are required so your descendant can perform well enough to do the grind.

Typically depends on how you play. As F2P, I already reached level 100 gameplay from zero without using any Energy Activator (especially the free one). Was it hard? I don't think it is really. Game story progression is still relatively easy but annoying to grind on since you can't progress any faster other than waiting it out, I believe that is the hard part for me..

​​@@Veldrane you never know. Nexon's other game, vindictus get like 300 people playing at once and nothing has changed at all. On top of that many Asian companies that have online games like this more than often listen to their local player base rather than their global one and their local player base are usually more than willing to pay because they are way more accepting of "pay for convenience" than us westerners.

I typically range between a shark to whale. My issue here is the prices are prohibitively expensive, 10x what they should be... 500 for max inventory? Sure got ult gley but checking other things, I'm just not interested. Double mod slots, What 30 bucks? The game is set up so you don't even need but your best items, I'd find it hard have 50 items a month from now. I can swe them greed an nerf resource drop rares but again so many components I don't see ever feeling like I need to cash shop them.

@mathewhosier9739 people like me are the only reason you can sit on your high horse playing a game that is absolutely free, and everything is unlockable...in warframe you can unlock thousands of cosmetics, warframes, upgrades, etc everything outside of tennogen absolutely f2p. If this game was 60 bucks the player base would be but a fraction of its size...it wouldn't be live service, there wouldn't be seasonal updates, it get the two dlc treatment and in about 2 or 3 years we'd get part 2 if it even was a huge success, then we'd get so many parts that it dies. People like me are why warframe went from 4 or 5 warframes, and a handful of maps, to over 100 warframes, close to 1000 weapons, dozens of game modes, open world planets, storyline after storyline...no cost to the f2p to enjoy. People like you are to blame for why the average triple a title is lacking severely. You expect every game to be baldurs gate 3. You want gaming companies to not enjoy the profits of getting it right, you want non profit video game companies who reinvest all the money earned for their hardwork and efforts for the original title, to go back into the game to create more and more content... Baldurs gate ain't getting dlc...how many did Skyrim have? Oblivion? How about the base game of any gta game? The entire souls series? Excuse me and other for hating episodic game releases...yearly sports titles instead of just their online versions that get updated and keep all the features... yearly call pf duties... I am saying I am not whaling on this game because it feels like they are demanding I do, instead of earning it. I've bought every single prime access in warframe for nearly 10 years. For 100 bucks i should have gotten ult gley, 5000 caliber, ability to double to mod capacity of 3 weapons, and an exp up for weapons and descendants, gold, and drop rates for a month. What does that do here? Give you 5k premium currency... They could have gotten me for every single ultimate if that was the case...so instead of thousands from me over the next 5 to 10 years... they got 100 and I highly doubt I spend much more than that... I'll battle pass for sure...but that's about it.

I spent $20 just to get one Descendant. I really wanted Yujin and Jayber since I like support characters more so I just wanted them right away, since it seems like so far I've only unlocked one extra character and have to go through the story to find specific things to get more

Got ultimate bunny. No grind EZ, but actually wanted the skin that comes with, also got the ultimate skin too. Imma buy the rest of the ultimates when im done working on bunny

The game starts you off with 10 slots for descendants/ characters there are 14 basic and 5 legendary versions at this time. Since the game is free to play it's basically making you buy extra character slots if you want everything

Ultimates dont have any stronger skillsw it just acces to better modules and more preset module slots. U clearly don’t now what your talking about …

Like you the only thing i saw value in here was the battle pass. Hell, even buying more Caliber doesnt get you anything extra. from $10-100 the difference in bought platinum is only about 500....so naturally i just bought the $10. Got my pass. I'll wait for hopefully better tho i dont expect it...tho i did hear if you have the ultimates already the bundles are made cheaper so id like to see if thats true. i saw prices of "1400 caliber". Would totally snatch em all up at that price if i had em all.

The vast majority of the bad reviews are because of the monetization. It’s a F2P game. Nobody is going to make a game to not make money. I’m not trying to defend Nexon, but in my eyes the monetization is only a problem for those that can’t control their wallet. You can, quite literally, get everything in the game through just grinding (minus the extra slots if you are unlocking every descendant). Are the predatory micro-transactions bad? Yes. Just don’t spend the money on it and enjoy the game. Once you get away from being sour about the micro-transactions you’ll have a lot more fun.

All i can say is sex sells.

I'm considering buying Blair and Sharen, maybe Ajax and Valby. I'll likely only buy the 1st too don't really want to spend any money beyond that. I'll see how long the GRIND is as that 20% is really 0.2% then again RNG may be in your favour. Ultimate Lepic (as he's my BOI) and Ultimate Bunny (for cultured reasons 😏😮‍💨🤤😋🍑🍑) but again i don't need them. But 140 for the two is insane 😝💀💀💀🤮🤮🤮, not justifiable. Definitely won't buy colours ONE TIME CONSUMABLES IS DISGUSTING.

New looter shooter that launched today, similar to games like Warframe

It's a much more generic Warframe, combined with Outriders. It's the same thing over and over and over. The game isn't bad necessarily, but it's just built on the illusion of having a ton of stuff when in reality everything is drawn out to force you to spend money to speed things up.

​@@depracatedway different gameplay than warframe and the skills are way more fun to use, better ui, there are like 5 online looter shooters that have any decent amount of money put into them, division and destiny are way worse than this game too.

So the Descendant "package" does not give you all those descendants shown?? (in the pack) , it's just a ticket to select ONE of the ones in package along with boosts & other trinkets. I thought a "descendant Package" would contain like 4 Descendants, for example the A pack would unlock & give you Ajax, Viessa, Lepic, bunny, Freyna, Sharen & blair. hmmmm now that low price makes sense. Bummer

To be honest if you're not looking for an ultimate it's actually really really easy to grind them out

Jesus £99 for an ultimate descendant! Are the actually end game nothing else to do or still things you have to do to make them as good as they can be?

Game gonna dry out so fast.

More like pay for convenience, cuz all it does is eliminate the grind. You can unlock everything by playing, so if you pay all it does is get you to the power faster, but ftp players will catch up just grinding🤷‍♂️

If its purely PVE still pay to win but its a lot less worse kind of Pay to win but it exists on a spectrum for example no matter how you cut it Lost ark has horrendous pay to win system, this game has a capped power I think so its more like of the sense "pay to skip the grind" kind of pay to win rather "pay to get power that none else cant get without spending as much money as you". If the max power is capped and all it does is pay to skip the grind it honestly probably the least bad pay to win to exist in the spectrum (as long its purely PVE speaking)

Its a pay to skip game. Theres a reason you said get everyting by grinding. Cuz its repeat the same shit over and over and over and ocer and over ten million times or pay for it all Its easy to sum up. Pay to skip, end of story. Non payable content is boring as fuck to do

In my opinion this is the first nexon game where they have got it right. The monetization is exactly the same as Warframes and I always felt they had the best system. You can get everything in the game for free, it will just take you some time to get it. If you want you can pay to get it faster. But I will reveal that in Warframe I did pay to skip the grind and some content and I regret it. After I did that the game wasnt as fun anymore because I already had everything I wanted and had no reason to grind anymore. It felt like cheating. So with future updates I just played the game and when I did pay I paid for cosmetics only or slots. Since it is a PvE game only there is zero reason to pay to skip the content or catch up, there is no pressure or FOMO. Just play for fun and you will get everything eventually.

Monetization here vs Warframe is night and day. Warframe loves their community and it shows. Nexon just wants that looter shooter moneys.

Warframes is far better because of the platinum trading system and how easy it is to make a lot of platinum just through the market.

@@raberto118 ya exactly, I have no idea what everyone is talking about, they clearly havent played warframe. If you wanted to you can easily grind out hundreds of platinum in warframe per day and never spend a dime. Not to mention if you DO buy platinum you can also get it at a discount, and many other positives this game is lacking!

Love that the store is so easy to find but i had to spend 15 minutes looking for the settings. 10/10 would not recommend😂

Xp for battle pass takes to lo g imo and on my game i can only see 94 levels i said 96 and why ultimates character are more expensive on my xbox? Seriously

No, everything is grindable. You pay to get cosmetics and skip some time to progress.

@@YunaYuaMai If you are referring to equipment slots, those only increase your inventory space, you don't really need that much and it increases every mastery rank. The only thing I could think that is unobtainable would be descendant slot since you can only have 10 atm. Each descendant slot cost a dollar.

P2W Warframe with publishers that bail on the first sign of decline. Don't waste your time on this.

I bought Esiemo because he's burst dps now I'm done spending... that's all I need... to me the battle pass is trash... I don't care about weapon skins and they have the same launcher in there 3 times then it's coin you just spent and a bunch of drops you should get in game... it's very boring you notice not a single person on KZread is losing their mind over the content in there or the value... it's just meh 😅

​@@luxter858that's extremely good rng! Took my about 4.5 hours from when I could begin to unlock her parts, and I was lucky enough to get 3/4 parts first time. The last one took hours though.

Pretty much seems like nothing is worth buying lol. It looked like formaing and item was like 20 bucks so battle pass is all my brain will logic me into buying.

There's a starter bundle that's kinda worth it. Gives you a handful of decent mods, a moderate amount of gold and mods leveling mats

people saying p2w, bro, what are you going to win if its a pve game? just get good, stop crying

And this is why i hate F2P games with everyone running around with the same default skins, at least give us a way to paint the default skins

I played 0.01 seconds after it came out at 0:00 AM Most games suckkkk due to greed and cheap programming...or DLC after DLC on a 11 year old game....becomes cheap thrilled. I made a video of Warframe vs the First descendant and you'll get my rift or you wont. the First Descendant is new and I think we all need that right now....a game thats like Warframe and Destiny 2 with Halo and Anthem. so yeah the cat fits in the rocketship we ready for mars?
