I've only been in two relationships in my life but only once was I truly in love. To me, love is not about owning...it's about sharing one's self with another and with that in mind also knowing when to let go because of love, not hate. I had to let go of the one person I was truly in love with to allow him to continue to be who he was meant to be and allow me to continue who I was meant to be. This is a song my ex wrote and sang about the night I walked out on him. The first time I heard this song it made me cry and I could not listen to it without crying every time I heard it. Then one day I decided to play it over and over again until my heart became numb to its lyrics. I mean...how many guys get a song written about them losing love....not by chance but by choice.
