@@thecreatorofthedark he considered Merlin a mere servant right up until the battle of Badon (s05e12). a courageous servant, maybe more courageous than his knights, but still a servant and certainly not a knight or someone who can fight.

I'm loving how the comment section is in agreement that even without the Knights, Merlin would wreak absolute havoc upon earth if something were to happen to Arthur. Merlin started saving Arthur's life because Merlin is a good person and partly because of his prophesied destiny. then along the way, he developed such a deep love for Arthur, it's beautiful. Dunno what kinda love but I know it was absolutely pure and of fierce kind😔

I always saw Merlin and Arthur the way the Shadowhunter series described a Parabatai relationship. They are literally soulmates, in the platonic sense. It is even said throughout the show that they are each one side of the same coin. Arthur would never had achieved the greatness he did without the protection and faith of Merlin, and Merlin would never had found purpose for his gift without the kindness and justice of Arthur. They made each other whole and there live for one another is timeless.

'Cause I do get the shipping of them, but we all know this would never happen canonically (also, this is the reason why I'm so positive towards their shipping: unlike so many of the others (especially, gay ships like SwanQueen from OUaT), this isn't toxic, from what I've seen, towards anyone), and, at the same time, they do truly love and are one of the most impirtant people to each other.

I'm sorry if I burst your bubble or the unanimity but I don't believe for a minute if Merlin knew Arthur was already dead that he would go on a rampage of vengeance - not even killing the one who dealt the fatal blow to Arthur. it's a different picture if Merlin believes Arthur to be still alive. Merlin's conscience is heavy with the burden of having killed quite a few times but only for the benefit of Arthur. he wouldn't make it harder for himself when there is no real purpose anymore for killing.

It's true that his knights are second to none, but let's be honest now, if Arthur had been harmed, Merlin would've razed heaven and earth to the ground before any of them of them could bat an eye 😂

Yeah you're definitely right about that I've seen what Merlin does when he's in a rage. It showed it in a couple of episodes, so yeah, if Arthur was hurt in anyway shape or form then you got Merlin in rage...😂 He would have raised heaven and Earth to the ground before anybody can blink an eye.

He will rise for Merlin and Merlin lives on just to be with him once more. If that’s not an happy ending, I dont know what is.

This series is my absolute favorite. I can watch it repeatedly without ever getting bored. Each actor performed their roles brilliantly. The music is also exceptional. Merlin’s use of magic and Arthur’s swordsmanship are incredibly impressive. The series encompasses various genres, including fantasy, comedy, adventure, action, romance, and more. I highly recommend it to everyone and assure you that you won’t regret watching it. This series will always hold a special place in my heart, and I doubt there will ever be another like it. It will never be forgotten. I believe all fans were moved to tears in the final episode when Arthur said to Merlin " Thank you " for all things that he has done for him . I am grateful to everyone involved in creating this series.

I love that you also included mordred. The man was blinded by his love, and Kara was blinded by her hatred. If Kara had been considerate enough about mordred, he would not have had to abandon his loyalty to arthur

Kara's stubbornness were the writers lazy approach to make Mordred break faith with Arthur. the show was coming to an end and we all know how it must end but still Mordred was at Arthur's court, admired him and was beloved by all (except Merlin couldn't bring himself to it because of the prophecy). instead of giving Mordred a believable reason the betray Arthur the writers suddenly came up with this love interest out of nowhere.

The fact that Merlin was included as a kight . But if Arthur was killed Merlin will hunt him down and kill him on his own .

Merlin was truly Arthur's first and best knight. they all had their specialities, and Merlin was the reason all of them came together. he's the glue and he's their power ❤

Arthur never did. we all know Merlin was Arthur's best weapon and probably the glue who held it all together including the faith of the knights in Arthur but this dollop head never knew.

The dragon advice wasn't even bad. Merlin didn't heed them and those decisions ultimately lead to Arthur's demise before they could fulfill their destiny. I love the show, hate the ending. Wish Arthur knew about his powers before he was dying
