Exactly, it's important to try not take offense to the terms people use to describe commonly recommended fragrances on Tiktok or other social media. We live in the era of engagement bait, calling out very well received fragrances are simply a way to draw attention to videos. Enjoy your fragrances and don't let it wear you down.

Pure facts. I’ve noticed TikTok has become a cesspool of people either pushing cheap colognes from their TikTok shop on their live or inflating the hype. I just stay clear of it because there are so many reviewers on there who you just know are lying to get the sales.

That's actually such an interesting point you brought up, especially with Dior Sauvage. I keep hearing everyone dog on that fragrance but, I've been alive for 34 years, and not once, have I smelled that fragrance on absolutely anyone. Almost every dude I know just wears AXE, BOD, or Stetson. On a rare occasion I'll find Nautica blue on someone, but that's so rare. But even then, I don't know why people are so harsh about that fragrance.

This video is facts. I stopped watching and trusting tiktok frag influencers when a huge amount of them (including ones I thought were reliable) said that Yara smells like a strawberry milkshake. It smells like sweetened baby powder with a little bit of non-descript fruitiness. Nothing lactonic or strawberry about it. The frag community worldwide is very very small and majority of people in general just wear nothing OR a random body mist/body spray/deodorant. "NPC fragrance" is just snobbery and nonsense. This video is so real, thank you for uploading.

Agreed 100% It’s not just TikTok. Instagram and KZread have the same issue with shills hyping up fragrances that aren’t worth it at all. And personally, the only reason I think they hate on Nautica Voyage is because it’s so cheap and they probably don’t get a lot of commission on it if any at all. Lol

As much as influencers love saying certain fragrances are over worn, the amount of times that you are going to run into someone (in my experience) is very low. So if you like something, just wear it and don't be afraid of not being unique. Great points in the video bro 👍

You’re so correct!!! I for one love BR540, but it seems like every time I come across some fragrance channel I’m being told that everybody and their mother wears BR540, like you can’t even go to the supermarket without smelling it somewhere. I assure you that I have never -at least not consciously- smelled BR540 on the streets and thought to myself “there goes another one wearing that perfume”. And EVEN IF everybody would be wearing it, that didn’t mean it’s a bad perfume - if I like the scent, I will wear the damn perfume thank youuuu 😝

I completely agree, absolutely right. I’m not a fan of TikTok perfume accounts that are pushing the false narratives…that a good perfume has to be super expensive or super unique( something never heard before ). You can like 1 million and you would probably be the only one in 20 people wearing that. (They need to understand that just because a perfume name is known, doesn’t mean everyone has it ) They don’t really care about actually speaking the truth. All they care about is making that commission…which is sad because a lot of people put their trust in them to buy what is better.

They say it's like a sauvage elixer, but when it dried down, it had a completely different scent. So I prefer to try the actual fragrance and know if it bothers the others or not, and the most essential one is that I have to like it, not my partner or the girls in the street. In general I have these rules: Only buy if you tested the fragrance and really like it and dont buy out of hype. Only buy ones that blow your socks out of the water and really fit your style, or else you wont wear them. Especially with hyped nieche fragrances I often had the experience that I didnt enjoy them at all. Blind buying nieche is a fatal mistake you will only make once.

Well said. My usual rule is always buy a 2ml decant. If I use it all, I buy a 5ml. If I still like it, it’s safe to get a bottle.

@@giantarkvine27 Yeah definitely give it a wear once or twice at least before spending big bucks. You might not like how the fragrance changes over time or you might not get good longevity

I got the same perspective after watching several videos. I'm from Latam, and I started to watch videos about fragrances since I have never purchased any before. Thus, I purchase the Moschino Toy Boy, and other 6 xD, but among YT channels they contradict each other saying that they are repetitive, even though, at my university I've identified a few guys wearing cologne. I'm glad that I started to blind buy and just be critical thinker. If I do not like It I just donate it to my dad, cousins or brother...

can't lie after testing a lot of hyped fragrances from tiktok they didn't live up to expectation, could be that i didn't get to smell the full dry down but coral fantasy and JPG elixir were let downs, might just be my nose. only tiktok hyped fragrance that was good enough to buy was victory elixir for me, i think it's all personal preference.

It's good to get suggestions and information from the Internet, but as an individual you should always wear what YOU LIKE. It doesn't matter what someone else thinks.

Youre right bro! That's 100% true. Fragrances are something personal and every cologne have diffrent scent on different person. For example Xerjoff Erba Pura smells on me like 1milion Elixir without any diffrence. Soo guys be yourself and use what you like!

Also have to count a person’s body chemistry. We can wear the same fragrance but have a different scent. Wear what you think smells good & makes you feel good!

You’re 100% right. I think the only perfume I remember smelling a few times on women is Cloud (only recognize bc im super into fragrance rn). Even if someone was wearing a popular scent would most people even be able to tell what it is? No. Also owning 100+ scents is not normal to regular people in fact most women have 1-3 perfumes they use up and rebuy. Y’all don’t let these influencers fool you!

I think people should use fragrances that they like to smell themselves, not what other gender likes according to the internet, those who seek to please others can never be happy with themselves
