Don't Throw Me Away! 5 Weeks Old Kittens Trying To Beg For Love
In Los Angeles, California, a rescuer found and brought home three kittens that were only 5 weeks old. All three kittens were adorable, but one of them seemed less developed compared to its two brothers. This little kitten was smaller, weaker, and appeared to need extra care. They prepared special food, kept the kitten warm, and regularly monitored its health.
Lucy, the smallest of the kittens, was taken for X-rays and ultrasounds by a neurologist to determine why she was underdeveloped compared to her two brothers. The results revealed that Lucy had pneumonia. This serious condition explained her stunted growth and weakness. To combat the infection, Lucy had to breathe oxygen in an incubator most of the time and was put on a course of antibiotics.
Lucy was still improving, but her breathing remained labored, she continued to wheeze, and she had a little “bullfrog” chest. She was on another round of antibiotics to help clear out the pneumonia, and they would have her lungs re-checked in another 10 days.
Brian, a kitten who looked similar to Lucy but was slightly bigger and stronger, had his own unique personality. Brian was very affectionate and became extremely attached to people.

There is a special place in Heaven for all your hard work. Lucy is absolutely adorable. I have two rescues, one is a diabetic and I give him 2 insulin shots a day. The other very healthy. Thank you for your love and care of this little one. You are a hero.

Had a kitten with the same chest ptoblem. Fortunately my vet assured me hed grow out of it and he did. Becouse of the problem grimmy aka gremlin was a runt and had a hard time with the other moose sized kittens. Spent more time with and for him. He became my shadow. Turned into a big fluffy black moose of a cat and grew out of the problem. Never give up he wasnt going to.

All are gorgeous but the story of Lucy and how much she battled to live is very uplifting. At the end watching her lying on her back playing with the mouse and just having a good time made me smile. She is going to be fine. I wonder how she managed to get pneumonia and yet her brothers didn't? I wish more of their history was known. Did an owner take them from the mother cat and dump them? OR did the feral mother cat keep them for a very short time and got sick of mothering them and left them? Not all mother cats have maternal instincts. Anyway they were in excellent hands and will all have lovely lives and that is what matters.
