Neat. if you look at the masterforge cast iron burner you will see that there is 2 holes drilled into the the side with a collar and a set screw to tune the flame by metering the air. Much like a wood burning stove's air inlet control. Once the flame color is tuned, the screw is tightened down to hold the choke plates in position. It can be opened all the way or closed all the way. WHEREAS, when you see guys build burners they usually just kind of drill holes and hope to get the right size holes. No thought is given to the concept of air metering plate.
