Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, aka Steely Dan, cherry picked the best of the best musicians in the business to record with. This bands ability to delivery such musical virtuosity and feeling so effortlessly is amazing! This wasn't a cover, they owned it!

Saw them in Memphis, on Mud Island, 2008. I was very lucky to see them before Walter passed. However, I missed Tom Petty and Joe Walsh when they came through. 😢

The problem with acts that aren't on top of the world is almost always the lead vocalist, who doesn't quite get how to do it. This guy gets it. He could sing for any group out there.

This is one of the best cover songs I have heard at anytime, anywhere, in my entire life of nearly 70 years.

Many decent SD covers fall short from lead singing. Not here.

I know most are loving the lead guitarist doing a bang up job as 'Larry Carlton' (me too!), but dude on the keyboards is killing me. That brother is straight serious about his craft. The look on his face.... Bravo!👋

Really great .every song tells a story , the wonderful "Fire in the hole" all of them , soon in Spain will set up my sound system 100 w per channel free Sony with 2 10 inch tannoys , spiders web remover .

Amazing. Great vocals and guitar work

The lead vocalist is SO smooth - he sings effortlessly. The two female vocalists are equally smooth. The blend of the voices perfect. The 3-part "ahs" at the end of the second verse are flawless. This is the finest rendition I have heard of any SD cover band doing this song.

I've been a professional audio engineer for over 30 years and have worked with many amazing musicians, Walter Becker included. It's amazing that a bunch of people I've never heard of before are absolutely killing it, great job Stealing Dan, I want more!

God they were great. Steely Dan was a large part of my life in the '70s and '80s. Their sound was surely their own

Seen the Dan live afew times. Played music for almost 40 years and our best Dan don't hold a candle to this. These folk are killing it. Superb.

The guitarist has a humbucker in the bridge position in his strat in order to get the double coil Larry Carlton sound.

The bass player is worth listening to all on his own.

So true. Except St Louis Toodel-oo for me. I know it is a Duke Ellington comp and I, am sure, genius, but after 30 years I am still trying to digest the SD cover...

I was a band photographer in the 70s as I worked in a camera shop across from a rock bar. Bands would come in an ask if someone could take pictures of their shows. The first time I heard "Don't take me Alive" was a cover by a Tacoma group called Freeway Jam. I was hooked on Steely Dan from that moment on. This is a great version, very well done.

Ah, one of my favorites from the Dan. I worked for hours learning this via LP. Learn part of a section, put the needle back and learn some more etc. Learning guitar is so much easier now!

It's not easy to get anyone to listen to a Steely Dan Cover to the end, for obvious technically very difficult reasons! But this was immaculate, and even added a subtle new flavour thanks to the gorgeous voice combination and little subtleties from all the band. Beautifully played and no doubt extremely well rehearsed!
