After yesterday's video on slurtle slime here, kzread.info/dash/bejne/gIqsldWhftXfdqQ.html, it has been brought to my attention that certain things that aren't actually minerals can actually be used to produce slime apparently. So, expect a quick follow up to it this week. Nothing overly groundbreaking but it's definitely more efficient regardless!

I have a little question. Which mod do you use to see when the bird in the cage'll die?

If I find a moleworm, i'd rather cook it alive or murder it I'm still scarred from getting killed by one stealing my thermal stone in winter

As a solo player and an occasional lazy one at that, I too love gunpowder!

Ive also used the toadstool method to farm rotten eggs before, found placing the eggs on the ground beforehand the best and safest way to get them all rotten in 1 shot. Place eggs, agro boss, get spored, stand on egg piles, run away, then come back later.

A fire guide might actually be interesting seeing as charcoal is extremely useful

Alright, here is some general info for you. Fire only spreads when you are there. If there is a smouldering fire, that will still burn regardless of where you are. So light a fire, let it spread as far as you'd like, and walk away. It does not matter if its a massive forest, it will snuff itself out when you return to collect it.

Thanks you actually demonstrating how the gunpowder damage limit works too, because that made absolutely no sense to me when I looked on the wiki. I'm going to be a gunpowder MANIAC now, and definitely plan to use that toadstool trick as well!

I think you should do a guide over fuel sources, you can use the episode talking about different fuels for fires, there uses, and how to get and or farm them.

If you get lucky, you can find a spoiling food trap set piece to get those eggs bottom quick and safely.

I have only ever used gunpowder to mine stone fruit in the past now but now is probably the time to dive it the credit it deserves by maybe using it for som boss encounters

I want to add to the rotten egg thing. Putting it in water (if the item is floatable) make is rot even faster (I usually do this with petals for rot for my berry bushes) but idk if eggs can float too

I think gunpowder is better used to farm marble trees because it oneshots them and if placed correctly one gunpowder can blow up 9 marble trees

I had no idea the Pengulls starved themselves. I thought they just left after Winter and the rotten eggs were the leftovers of newly hatched Pengulls. Side note: I used Willow’s new fire skills against the Pengulls and took a nest of them out, and they dropped Rotten Eggs even though it was early Winter. If it can be replicated that might be a good way to get them, though it still requires waiting until Winter.

Hmm, strange, never known pengulls to drop rotten eggs in their loot tables... I mean, they drop eggs if they're holding one of their own but to have rotten eggs in early Winter?!

@@TheBeard777 I have to be honest, I wasn’t expecting The Beard himself to notice a comment on a 3 year old guide. I just started a world in Winter to test it and successfully replicated it. As long as the Pengulls have initially made it to their nest and have the eggs killing them with fire -even if it’s bludgeoning them to death with the lighter- will drop either cooked eggs or rotten ones, seemingly heavily weighted toward rotten. I cleaned out a single nest on Day 4 and got 8 rotten and 1 cooked eggs.

If i i use a mod that let me stack more than 40 would i be able to kill for example shadow pieces if i use 41 gunpowder in one stack?

Looking forward to solo Toadstool without the flingomatic method. Would gunpowder make for an appropiate method, having in mind the 10 second cooldown for full damage??

If you want to work towards 7 stacks of gunpowder and can manage to hit him with them each time all the while participating in the rest of his fight then go for it.

Does the Clock Works respawn? If yes you can farm them for prpl gem and than snurtle slime

Can too much gunpowder can destoye the scale dropped during stun phase? I have stunned them drop 40 of this on his face and light on. The explosion have done the job of - 8000 life but no scale on the ground :(

I wonder what progress the humans made on newhome

One of its best use is on stone fruit. Should ve added here.

The only time I would even consider that is if you're clearing setpieces like hound mound or tallbird fortresses.

Warly has spices that can be applied on food to increase damage of any weapon I think. Just watch "warly in a nutshell" And you will know everything about him

I use 3 gun powder on deerclops and it 1 shot it but it deals 600 only

75% chance the dropping earthquake niter will break on impact. Oh no. The rock broke into smaller rocks. It won't burn now. Pfft, the broken bits would be fine, if they did not vanish completely.

Just go insane and kill the nightmare creatures. Just prepare before hand have some sanity restoring items like jerky and some healing items. Wear some Armor like log suit/helmet and you can easily tank the creatures all day. When u are done restore the sanity back

Yes. You can find them by dropping meat on the ground in the desert, they become hostile rather than neutral too. drops drumsticks and feathers
