DON'T RUIN YOUR LIFE LIKE SOLOMON DID

The Wisdom of God that Solomon Neglected to Obey (Deuteronomy 17:18),
When he became King in 1 Kings 1:38-40.
God’s Road to Lifelong Usefulness
THE WISDOM OF GOD THAT SOLOMON NEGLECTED TO OBEY:
GOD’S ROAD TO LIFELONG USEFULNESS was seeking out God’s Wisdom through His Word daily and surrendering to follow it.
Becoming King meant so much to get done: a palace to build, an army to raise and manage, a city to fortify, a nation to rule and defend, a family to protect and supply, and a personal life to maintain.
In the middle of all that God placed this incredible task: make a personal copy of the 192 pages of the Pentateuch by hand and carry it around with you.
For just a moment, why not take your Bible and feel the pages that makeup Genesis 1 through Deuteronomy 34. Feel that thickness? Now think 3,000 years ago. How would you make a personal copy of that much material? No copy machines, office stores, or printers. Just oil lamps to see by; and to capture words it meant either chisels into rock or crude ink onto animal skins. Think of how hard it was to get your recording skin materials, gather the tools to make and apply ink with, and find a flat spot to write on an animal's skin.

If Solomon didn't do what he did we'd have 2 or 3 less books to read. Ecclesiasties is one of my favorites, imagine missing out on that and like, half of proverbs :,(

I ruined my life. Know the antichrist and return of Jesus is imminent. But I am alone in the desert because of my live for sin. No heart of true repentance. No more discernment and guidance from the HS. Know even thou I don't 'feel', HE is here but don't know what to do or what to focus on anymore to change my wicked heart. If someone has advices, please. Thanks for sound biblical teaching.

If you, like I was, have been turned over to the devil to sift for your pure heart, know that that is God. The fact that you are even asking about it says to me that there is sorrow in your heart for how you've lived. That's the beginning of true repentance. I was messed up, had messed me up, myself. You know. But God has grace for us! He wants you to reach for Him and learn about Him. Read the Bible, even if it doesn't make sense. Keep listening to good preaching. This guy. Greg Laurie is good. David Jeremiah. Voddie Baucom. Find local people who have fought the battles you're fighting now. Above all, praise God daily. Don't expect everything to be fixed overnight because the lessons come as you slowly rise back up. I have been in battle for over a dozen years now since I decided I would wrestle my life back from the devil. He put up a fight. No, you aren't crazy. Tell him to flee in the name of Jesus. The battles are worth the pain you'll encounter as you unload it all on Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit (do try to listen now - I always heard it while I was living hard but pretended not to understand what I was hearing so I could continue my willful sin). It took a while but I can hear a little more clearly now. Don't give up! You have been promised victory if you'll give yourself, your time, your attention to God.

It seems that scripture confirms Solomon stayed in his sin with his wives & idolatry. He saw the error of his ways but did not repent. Do you think God welcomed him into heaven?

Of course he will be. 1 Chronicles 28:6 (ESV) 6 He said to me, ‘It is Solomon your son who shall build my house and my courts, for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. We are lucky today. We are saved through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. But we are no better than Solomon. We always think we would do it different but our flesh is as weak as his was.

@@theway2269 I have always found it fascinating to think about what it took to be saved in the OT. Seems like NT saints have it easier, but perhaps not. I have always thought David a very poor example of a man after God's heart. Joseph, in Egypt, seems a far more likely candidate. Just goes to show God values repentance far more than anything else. Something the brother of the prodigal son discovered too. Thanks for your comment.

If Jesus believed every word was inspired then Why would you use phony translations our forefathers did not have? These people trap themselves with their own speech. Whats their excuse?? They say the perfect word were lost because we no longer have the ORIGINAL Greek Hebrew text. Really??What did OUR LORD read from? when He said EVERY WORD WAS INSPIRED? He didn't have the ORIGINAL HEBREW Manuscripts.[written by Moses and the prophets] Come on people THINK!!!
