Great video very helpful stuff! I appreciate the tip about holding the rear break for really slow speeds, haven’t heard that before. The great thing about your teaching style is you keep the slow pace of information. Most people start talking fast because of how many things there are.

@@JonesBrosGarage I love watching the fun others have on the bike, and the amount of time you put in to them, that what makes you different than others. I enjoyed the tutorial, I think imma learn a lot and it's gonna pay off in the long run

You tube wants me to watch your video. Keeps serving it up. So I finally clicked on it to say that someone is teaching beginners from a 701. It's a non-beginner beginner video. I don't blame KZread for not knowing. I blame the person who made a beginner video with a exert level bike.

Sit on a couple different bikes and see what feels comfy and natural. I ride a gsxr 750 and I’m 5’4” (no, don’t start on one lol), I have no issues riding it so with enough practice you can ride any bike. My 2 cents say there are plenty of 400-650’s that are sporty and have all the power you’ll need.

That’s a lot to compute. Do you think it’s a young guys game? Someone 52 starting to ride for the very first time?

No I think it hurts riders to be young honestly. I can feel myself maturing more every year and as you get older you have a better grasp on risk management. I’m glad my parents didn’t let me ride until I turned 19 and decided to buy a bike. My dad picked up riding after a 20+ year break in his late 40s with no issues. Just take a course and get a proper bike for a beginner. You’ll be doing better than 80% of riders just with that.

The reason i happened upon your video is because i dig the 701 &/or the KTM SMCR. Over here the bike can be limited for learners, 30hp i believe. In your opinion can the bike be used for that purpose? FYI: I've a 32" inseam, reasonably fit for my age. Compliments on your video, you have very good presentation skills. Thanks for taking the time to make it. Appreciated by more than me I'm sure.

@@CMX70 I really appreciate that! Yeah the only issue with that bike for a new rider is the power, as you said in your country they limit it based on your license. So basically that’s not an issue. The other issue for some people is the height but at that inseam it’s not a problem at all. My inseam is like 26”. I think it will make an amazing first bike with all of that said. You can grow into the power and it’s extremely light for a street bike which is super helpful. I say go for it and don’t look back! 👍
