The violinist is Camilla Van Der Kooij, not only is she a world class musician but there is something about her facial features that I find SO attractive, she also played on the Sgt. Pepper video, she is a pleasure to listen to and to look at.
Jesus. This absolutely stunning violin (viola?) rendition gives me the shivers. Spectacular!

Not viola, violin, you had it right - it's just tuned one step lower (FCGD) instead of the traditional (GDAE) in order to play in the original key! 👍

its IMPOSSIBLE to listen to the white album music without smiling.its just plain freaking brilliant.
Gosh! This was like a solo part except throughtout the whole song! And not even a slightest mistake and with such a seeming ease! It's just increadible!
The violinist looks and plays perfectly. I was reminded once again that Don't Pass Me By is such a great song.

This group is amazing! I've never seen even the actual tribute plans playing the "lesser" known songs!
I first heard this album while jn Korea, a friend had an 8 track tape of it. He didn't like it so he gave it to me. It wasn't until I plugged in my headsets znd listened did I really appreciate it. The stereo is fabulous, going back from one ear to the other😅. I would recommend everyone listen to it this way, especially Revolution no.9 to really hear the genius behind this album.
The waiting is the hardest part....

My dream is to listen to you live, but living in Argentina its a little hard... anyway, I still can hear some little diferences in the lyrics or for example in the drum solo in "the end" or little ajustments.. it was doubled tracked on the record, hence the 2 singers :) these guys are singing perfectly on pitch, even recreating ringo's nuances in the vocals. it's a wonderful performance!!!

Ringo had written many songs before this one but Lennon and McCartney wouldn't put them on an album, they couldn't refuse this better than at least half the songs on the white album.

Очень похоже,только у Битлов пианино как-то более залихватски-раздолбайно звучало.
Great sound mix, great piano, bass, and vocals; drums and fiddle are however "too clean" for my taste, though... Obviously (too) classically-trained violinist that doesn't get the subtleties of the "swing-eights", so everything sounds "triplet-like", and it kinda makes the groove suffer... Drums need a bit more "dirt" around the fills, it's Ringo, after all, not Steve Gadd, there needs as well way more floor-tom fills to be authentic... Don't get me wrong, it's a great performance and a great rendition of a classic Beatles song, but the Beatles themselves didn't do it like that...

Don't Pass Me By was Ringo's first composition on a Beatles album & I think it's pretty damn good. The Beatles are one of the few bands that made consistently great albums. All killer & no filler. Except Revolution 9 which isn't even a song. I don't know what "lousy stuff" you're referring to.

I wondered why the list stopped at 1966 - it was simply because Google Drive was showing me a "preview" of my spreadsheet, and truncated it. The list proper does go all the way through - let me know if you want me to dump the rest of the catalogue that I don't like. 🤣
