Thanks!
Congrats on the new bike, I've always liked Marin as a brand plus it looks great! I agree about the price range, 3K is generally where reliable full suspension bikes start....if only I could convince my wife lol Look forward to hearing what you think of the Yari!

Thanks for taking time to comment man! I wish you could get a decent enduro bike for less. I’ll definitely do some future reviews on the Yari and all the components on this bike 🤙🏻
This bike looks sick. This and the alpine trail xr was definitely on my list before I bought the slash8.

Thanks man! I’m stoked about this bike. Can’t wait to get out and ride it 🤘🏻
Nice! I've been riding an XL Alpine Trail 7 for the past two seasons. Such a capable bike that climbs way better than it should and really shines on the downhill. Really looking forward to see what you think about it

Heck yeah! I have t had a chance to ride it yet. A lot of my local trails are just mud and snow. Need to head down the mountain where’s it’s warm to ride.

@@JaredHoffcame across with video in 2024. Looking to get into mountain biking. Currently see this listed on Jenson for 1500 I’m 6’2 and 250lbs. Would this be a great grab for my first bike? Tools is fine I have those so no worries here. I want a decent starter bike that will also be a good one to grow into and not need to be replaced within a year.
We went orange 🍊 crazy 😜! Orange grips pedals and mud guard on my sons alpine trail 7 and it looks sweet 😂. I think 🤔 the best upgrade for this bike is better break leavers. We will also try some narrower lighter tires 🛞 for the New Zealand summer. This thing is a tank and it’s probably the best cheap park/shuttles bike around

Awesome! I’ve been pretty impressed with this fork so far.
Both Jenson and Evo have this bike sale priced now at $1,899!

That’s a great deal!
I have purchased a Marin bike the San Quentin 2 from Jenson USA kind of anticipated the lack of tools, & full suspension was expensive would have considered Rift Zone as an option. Wanted a bike that's capable of climbing plus descending, and my complaint with the San Quentin 2 is the hubs are loose ball bearings, am considering new wheelset Crankbrothers or Industry Nine just to see what they have to offer.

What are you doing with the Slash?
@JaredHoff
Жыл бұрын
I was going to sell it, but now I think I’m going to wait and do some 3k versus 6k bike comparisons. Unless I find a friend that needs a good deal on a great bike.
The irony of this video is that I have an alpine trail 8 and I’m saving up for a carbon slash 😅
@JaredHoff
Жыл бұрын
That’s the way things roll sometimes LOL I have a 9.7 Carbon Slash that I’m going to be selling lol
Good video and I hope you enjoy your new bike. Ive got a T8 coming and just curious what you use to wrap your bike with to protect it and what other protection you use. Thanks in advance
@JaredHoff

I’ve tried the budget frame protection, BUT nothing is as good as rode wrap in my opinion. Not cheap though.

@@JaredHoff Jared bikes arent cheap either and I think it is important to protect your investment. Thanks for the info.
curious how tall you are if you went XL? Wasnt your Slash a Large?
@JaredHoff
Жыл бұрын
I’m 6’2” so I’m always right at the top end of size large. I wanted to try a 515 reach since I’ve never tried that, so went with the XL.

@@JaredHoff oh right. I think I would be on xl at your height aswell.
A Budget bike. Less than $3000.00. You're definitely outta touch with most Americans.

I hear ya. I definitely never thought I’d spend this much on a bike, but after riding you start to realize what you need. Although, prices are dropping.
