As a former machinist now inspector, I find this absolutely hilarious. Mainly because I had some old school guy show me this “fix” when I blew a hole too big. I didn’t take his advice. Also, the cmm will pick that up in a heartbeat 😂.

Hey fellow inspector! Just curious, do you use any vision measurement systems? The Keyence has replaced the CMM for the majority of the parts I inspect.

A dowel pin hole was a bit to big for the pin, so we took a center punch and smashed it shut. It was for a testing tool that would only be used a couple of times, so it wasn't a big deal. So yeah, I've done that before XD

All kidding aside, I was waiting for Bo to bore out the holes bigger, weld a hunk of rebar with the ribs still on it into each hole, and drill new holes in the rebar.

Hi, I'm from Malaysia, this video is presents the truth about my crazy job and it's works at anytime.😂😂
This video is unbelievable. Brilliant!!! I can't praise Titans of CNC enough. There shop is impeccable, they only hire top machinists and produce top parts. That's a machine shop I would love to be a part of.
The most hilarious part about this is the shop foreman in the last shop I worked at did this to a part, a very large and expensive part that had to ship the next day🤣. I was the QC inspector and he was my boss and I told him this wouldn't fly with the customer but he said to let it go, we shipped it that way with a +/- .0005" 2.000" bore that was .001" oversized from the top of the tolerance. It came back to us three weeks later and required the weld department to cut off the affected portion of the weldment (these are _big_ parts BTW, 20,000 lb chunks of steel), reweld a new piece in and go back in the CNC mill to recut the features. I guess I was right lol.
Yo This is comedy, satire, machining- just everything. Well played- I LOVE it. Please keep making videos like that.

This is the best video yet. I am inspired to bring my shop to this level.
I did that a few times on the threads where no go thread enterd , i know it wasnt good practice but yeah happends on last part of a small series and always when the "no go" doesnt enter all the way you just need to deform a little bit the first thread spire :))
I think I've worked with this guy.
This may be the very best video you guys have put out
I've watched at least 90% of your content and this is by far the best "funny" video you've produced!!! Unfortunately, there are more Mr. Nogo's out there than I like to think about. You boys are a trip. Got to have some fun or it's not worth it. Keep it up guys!
What a legend. I've used that "trick" was when I made a hydraulic lifting jack. The main valve used two steel balls to close off a pair of holes and the only way to get them to match perfectly was to shape the top of the holes to the diameter of the steel balls.
@pvtimberfaller
Жыл бұрын
That is standard for ball check valves.
You making fun of my buddy stake kracker at 4:10 😂 back at the first machine shop I worked with old school machinist had me do this to fix blown out bushing, of course the home was only about .0005 oversize and was for lumber mill equiptment, we also have knurled parts then turned to correct size😂 none of this was on any important parts but you hit the nail on the head with this one😂
Howdy there internet people; I might have a new favorite tuber named beau. Good work!

@@Jessie_Smith shure nuff… Poor Beau
I did this once on parts that go on a warship cannon for the Ministry Of Defence. True story😂😂
I absolutely love this!
All depends on the part, sometimes this trick is really a viable option and yes I've done it before but there are parts I've scrapped because it was not a good part to use this "technique" on. If I'm simply making a shop fixture and the press fit for a locating dowel pin became a tight slip fit that is an example of where this might be used.
please more videos like this I was rolling
This is awesome!
Best video yet!
