Our school counselor is NOT trained to help us. She’s been the least helpful person we’d expect in that role. She’s sending out long overwhelming emails but doesn’t have answers and I’ve had to find out for myself. I’ve even found out that some information the counselor disseminated was incorrect. Her info was going out late, and that caused us a lot of stress. As a result students in our son’s school could not apply to local university because the information went out on a Friday and due date was on a Sunday. 😢 What a disaster for families without previous knowledge of the application process. Seattle Public Schools counseling team needs support!
