I mean things get super messed up but the characters themselves are cute. I feel sorry for Red Guy, Yellow Guy, and Duck guy. The series' twists at the end mostly consist of the main 3 being tormented or killed. Especially Yellow Guy.

The first time I watched don't hug me I'm scared I was in a quiet room and it was so creepy but after i watched it some more times I found it less scary each time I probably got used to it but it's disturbing
