I can understand wanting your kids to have a better life than you did, but they should have limits, boundaries and respect for where their bread and butter comes from, otherwise you're not doing them or society any favors.. That's a lesson most parents learn the hard way..

I agree with you. I like this man very much, but (not trolling I promise, just giving an opinion) many wealthy people indulge those they love because they're controlling, and it's the easiest way to control somebody - to make them dependent on you. Yeah, I wouldn't say anything if the kids at least looked happy but they look bored out of their minds. The boy that sits besides him for most of the video looks vacant and on drugs (not implying that he is, but he does look depressed). Truly people who can't get excited for anything anymore. This really made me value my teenage years. At 15 we were still playing childish games around the neighborhood, having big barbeques, I had almost zero fashion sense (in a good, innocent way) and turned my hair green trying to turn it blonde at home. I wasn't dirt poor but far from rich and I was happy and healthy. My first car was a used one but I was privileged enough to have it on my doorstep as soon as I got my license, I had it for 7 great years and I still miss it. You don't need all this crap, you need good moments and good memories. And yes, sorry but definitely nouveau riche...

Yep... Seems that because they are adopted/surrogate kids...they want to spoil them a bit. Plus the way he was brought up....I understand a little wanting his kids to never go without. But it seems they expect it...perhaps not work for anything? Its great he is blessed to provide....and it doesn't show what jobs kids may have. I hope they do have some form of being self supporting as being able to provide for one's self...to make themselves be proud of THEIR own personal accomplishments.... Not through their Father. Im glad he doesn't feel that he has been taken advantage of... Its fine I guess to spoil a child...but when they're an adult... they should want to earn it. I feel like saffron just doesn't appreciate anything, if I had a nice car like that I would jump on my dad and say thank you thank you and pay him back in return with a gift that he always want but I guess that type of attitude happens when your rich. Awww he seems like such a wonderful father and a really great person. There is nothing wrong with spoiling your kids. If you have the funds, then what's the problem. I lost my wonderful daddy last month I am 40yrs old and he still spoiled me until he took his last breath. There is absolutely nothing wrong with spoiling your kids as long as they're kind, respectful and decent human beings!

So Saffrons friends are living off her as she picks up entire bills after everyone when traveling. For all the money sounds like she doesn't have such good friends. I hope this lesson gets learned.

That environment seemed INCREDIBLY stressful. You could feel the tension of complete hollowness, complete shallowness in the entire video. I am a very wealthy person too, but my life is SO different. We have more of a balance of living a nice lifestyle but having balance and some level of humility. I live in an upscale southern california ranch community close to the original Reagan Ranch, so there is a lot of money around here, but people are WAY more down to earth and not constantly obsessed with money. I hope his kids are happy, but they don't look happy at all. He is talking about his kids like they are just a drain of money and they stand there next to him and don't say a single word, like they are wealthy, but hostages to their sugar daddy whom they probably despise.

Before Barrie finished his sentence, I knew his most expensive thing was his daughter Saffron. Thanks to my college roommate who came a lot of money, I know for a fact that children are the biggest financial drain wealthy people can have. What’s even weirder is how much the kids from wealthy families lean on their parent’s money to survive. Someone should hand Saffron a broom without saying a word and see how it takes for the confusion to leave their face.

It looks like they don't care in my opinion. All these things are nice but admiration, respect and love is what matters most in a family.

My family all chipped in to give me my first car which costed like $3k and I was elated. I don't know how the hell the kids can't be appreciative of the thousands they're spending daily. Please adopt me, I'd just be happy living in the house. Lol!

What would excite me if I was this rich and got everything I want? Every man I wanted? Life would get BORING. Part of the excitement in life is getting great things you worked hard for. I hope the kids feel what it‘s like to work hard for something.

You basically just described the plot of Squid games.

The problem with spoiling your kids is that you make life too easy for them. They learn nothing. They'll be at a huge disadvantage when money is no longer there. They wont be nearly as competitive as kids who grew up in hardship and are disciplined, intelligent, creative, and very hungry for success. I can tell those kids are very unhappy. No meaning in life anymore. Being given everything at an early age without earning it is like putting in cheat codes into a video game: you suddenly have everything, but subconsciously you know you haven't earned it, so you suddenly start becoming bored with the game.

This family (well, him) are truly obscene. I was glad they were on Below Deck because they were rude and obnoxious and we got to see that not just the other horrible Americans on Below Deck could be such. And the fact that he said his daughter had no respect when she drove on the grass hit the nail on the head. They are not being taught good values, self-sufficiency, the value of a dollar and working for it, etc. They are "new money" as he admitted and it's just nauseating how he has to tell you the price of everything. And they breed dogs when there are so many homeless dogs needing a home. I just can't watch them anymore. It's so sad how these kids are being brought up and spoiled.

I completely agree, this man is making his money himself and no one is financially supporting his kids but him. If he wants to spoil them and buy them $300k cars then he can do that, they are HIS children and HIS money! It is no one else’s business. Society is far too comfortable trying to tell other people how they should be raising their kids when it is none of anyones business!
