The video is very meh. Like the other dude said, if it is cracked and they turn off the gas dont just turn it back on, that could be hazardous to thr viewers health.

Video is crap. You were doing good until after explaining how the heat exchanger works. A: HVAC technicians have better PPM CO readers than the craps ones you can buy on Amazon. We’re talking Parts Per MILLION, generic CO monitors don’t have sensitivities that high. B: Most HVAC techs don’t get paid commission. They get paid hourly. The techs that DO get commission shouldn’t be trusted at face value, get a second opinion. Those guys are in the business of upselling and making as much profit as possible with as little work as they can get away with. C. If your heat exchanger is cracked, it’s now a safety issue and we are LEGALLY OBLIGATED to shut your system down. What happens if a resident gets sick or dies and we didn’t? We get sued for negligence. D. Claiming that techs will be aggressive and try to scare you with “danger” is irresponsible. You’re going to get someone killed because they don’t believe a correct diagnosis of a cracked HX. Do your due dilligence when hiring an HVAC company. Make sure they’re licensed and insured. Check reviews from other local customers. Don’t hire Facebook or Craigslist hacks who will take your money and run.

    A) co2 isnt dangerous until 15,000 ppm, thats 1.5%. So a detector that can only read in 0.1% increments is plenty B) yup getting a second opinion is important. Video states they turn off your heating and its 10f outside. Pressure tactics. C) so long as its actually cracked, video is about the liars not the honest techs who prove it to the home owner with reality vs selling a fiction. D) then prove it to the person with actual evidence vs make believe data that isn't relevant to the home. E) yup. True for anything because scammers and fraudsters, they exist in all industries.

Most carbon dioxide detectors are are only good for 3 years. They also will not warn you when they can't detect anymore giving you a false sense of safety.
