I haven't played rs in 5 years and have no emotional desire to go back. I had my fun now I'm done. Plus all Jagex cares about is Pvm and vet players.

Some mistakes I've made - Changing my keybinds for every boss I did. Helwyr had 3 as shield, 4 as resonance. Araxxor had 3 as anticipation, 4 as freedom. I did this to prioritize the left side of the keyboard, but the problem is I took too long preparing for bosses. Very bad idea. - Not using overloads - Doing too many dailies. This can quickly lead to burnout. If I have an hour to play, sometimes it's nice to fight Araxxor for an hour instead of ports, farming, iaia, sandstone and vis wax. Otherwise, dailies is all you do. Pick a few to do often and do the others when you feel like it. Other mistakes- Not using overloads - Not doing quests - Not reading quest dialogue. It's fun! - Using unaugmented gear

Don’t go for an entire boss log all in one go. By which I mean don’t just camp one boss or activity for full completion. Creates serious burnout when you start to go dry. Croesus did this for me and now rasial. As an Ironman it feels like I just need to complete these things but going dry on them makes me not want to log in at all. I’m having to learn to just varry it up to keep things fun

This is super real for some of the newer bosses, a lot of the older ones are largely afk so they don't burn the same way but yeah screw doing 1k croesus just to get dupe gloves on my ironman and nothing else

Few years back like 4-5 years ago someone tried to lure me to wildy. I had like full torva lotd and drl (when full torva was 80mil). They were using cape glitch where their cape was flying away from them. They told me if I shift click on this pouch they will tell me. I think it was lava golem where he teleports to wildy lv40 ish i just didn’t believe it and said no so I banked everything and did what said low and behold ppl there waiting for me and when they saw me “naked” they were shocked about it

played this game since 01, definetly have used vamp scrims for mage/ranged before.

Tip 1 don't play the game so much you cannot have a dating life like me

Dropped my OSRS stack when I quit that, made it back on leagues 4 I also didn't use augmented gear for about 2 years after Invention was released because the charges sold for so much (I actually enjoyed divination at the time) and I used the Nex sets for a long time because I didn't have the cash for the RoTs/ED gear Don't ignore content, some of my favorite things in the game are weird side things and some forgotten content is still really useful. Shame a bunch of fun minigames might never get a rework in RS3 though...Would be fun to play Trouble Brewing or Stealing Creation again

things that i have seen is lower level/ skill players use ( just for example here ) protean items to level up on both DXP live and " normal " days... NOW playing the other side/ devils advocate,-ish yeah it may get you a big boost in exp gains and levels making you get to 99 faster but then you are going have to back track with some of these skills. take divination for instance here, you go from ( lets say ) level 10 to 60 with protean memories, all good, but then you are going to have to go to the level 10 location get the energies to make the boon, then go to the level 20 location and get the boon for that location, rinse and repeat. sure that may take you 5 minutes sort of deal here, its just back tracking part that makes it an inconvenience. AND EDIT: if you like back tracking then absolutely more power to you. i am just trying to make your experience more enjoyable here.

You can always buy the energies to make those boons. A better example would be to use Archaeology. You can use quests, lamps, dailies, dummies and mini games to get your skill to high levels. The problem is that content is locked Until you get the achievements to get the titles. I really hate this because I had 103 Arch but only apprentice title unlocked.

Vamp scrim = melee only Vamp aura = any style Great advice right out the gate. Problem for me though was my journey to 99 fishing really burned me out. I began to feel like logging on to work on fishing was becoming more of a daily chore than playing a game. Some skills are just like that. The journey is not always enjoyable. Most of my other 99s have been enjoyable journeys. Mining, smithing, dungeoneering (say what you want but i LOVE dungeoneering), slayer, hell even herblore, crafting, and divination were enjoyable journeys. But there was just something about fishing. It just sucked my soul out of me. I had to take a long break after that.

How did you train fishing I did sailfish for 100-120 over a couple months and I sware it was one of the most relaxing time I've had with any skill. Maybe having the imp soul perk + Bob relic and grace of the elves with charges could have helped

Love your videos. One mistake that as a 20+ year player I have fallen into time and time again over the more recent years. Do not get trapped in dailyscape I'm not saying don't do dailies just don't let them consume all of your time. You could spend 2-3 hours doing challenges, shop runs, repeatables without doing anything else. Speaking from experience it leads to burn out then taking a break from the game.

Play suboptimally. Not only will you get to play for longer, but you'll have more fun in the process.

I’m so against degradable stuff. Ik it has a place but I feel so weird using it. Like I got an eof then bought a whole hydrix for dust because I’m so anal about keeping my stuff up.

Honestly I’d say tec vs virtus is a rough compare cause it’s virtually the same. Trade that hp on bit for def on tec, but yeah once it gets an upgrade like sirenic if it does then ye for sure, malev sirenic and masterwork tho for sure😊

I will admit, I foolishly got lured trying to anti lure when necromancy first came out and lost all my gear for each style ( about 2b ). I quit for about a week.. then made t90 necro gear and went through the pvm quest progressions and had a blast. The extent of my pvm journey previously was GWD1, so it was all so fresh and new. I still have my cash stack, but I’ve found new life in the game through pvm with necromancy and earning my gear instead of just buying everything I had previously. Sucks but in a way made the game more fun and goal oriented.

As someone who’s been playing for 19 years and 45 days, I have yet to reach endgame gear 🤦🏽‍♂️, still running Virtus and Pernix 👀

I dropped what would be worth like $50,000 today in party hats and Halloween masks when I "quit" back in the 00's.

I spent like 30 mil on scrimshaws back when that was a lot of money on range and magic 😂

I like giving my stuff away when I take longer breaks it gives me a solid fairly simple grind when I come back

just touching on the cosmetics part, i thought you were going to say dont spend your first big lot of gp on a luck of the dwarves, but you said cosmetics, either way.. dont buy a luck of the dwarves when you can buy upgrades instead

1b gp sounds obtainable until I saw someone with 200b gp...

Gear isn’t everything, but yes. Some people are faster and better pvmers because they have better gear. I used to do araxor in t70s and when necromancy came out I literally ignore every mechanic and don’t need to prayer flick. So yes, it’s partially knowing mechanics and partially having good enough gear.

At around the 9:00 minute mark you enter Rasial’s fight. It looks like you conjured all three at the same time. How?

Don't kill vyrelords in pod. Waste of time. They don't aggo, if you use aggro pot - they attack from range instead of walking up.

Degradable gear is stupid because in OSRS it doesn't really have that and it's fine and other games like GW2 don't have that and in both of those games the gears are still valuable. Another thing I hate is the entry fee to fight the boss. Dumb as hell.

@milllkkkk Not as much as RS3. Everything in RS3 that's above level 70 degrades. In OSRS the tank gears like Justicar and even the dps gear like Inquisitor which are both high level gears don't degrade.

when u have a life and family the "journey" isn't that good when u have 2-3 h to play sometimes and need to buy bonds and other things or spins to keep up with players who no life this game. as for gear... the MAIN problem with them is the patches... it cost 50m to repair sirenic or tectonic? come on... at most 15m is fair... for 3 piece armour set... other wise this armour is only useable for high lvl bosses,..... mid bosses-- lose ur profits... slayer lose ur profits... what am i suppose to do nex armour till 120 slayer??

On the cosmetics point, I never ever understood the point of spending money, especially lots of money, for cosmetics. I never found the appeal in them, I never saw someone with cosmetics on and said "woah that's nice, I wanna get that". I don't even notice it or care about it. Sure, there are others who do care about that, but man I really do not see the point. I feel like if you care about cosmetics, you are missing out on so much more about what this game is about.
