The parks should do a wristband system for on ride filming. You show the staff your camera mount, if it fits the safety criteria you get a wristband and can film on rides. If your camera is insufficient you can’t

I’ll always do a reverse POV over a forward facing POV if the option is available to me (sadly every park I’ve been to recently doesn’t allow the wrist straps)

As a glasses wearer myself i can confirm that I could wear them on hyperia with a sports strap on. I bloody hope they don't ban glasses on rides! I can't see shit without mine on xD Does that anti-drone lot do the radio frequency towers that block people from flying them into the airspace?

As someone who loves my drone and hates people that do this kind of thing I can confirm that it is legal to fly a drone over a theme park (don't do it for the love of god) however it is impossible to fly a drone over a theme park without loosing VLOS (visual line of sight) which is a breach of the FAA's regulations and is therefore illegal.

I know there is a law about using your drone safely. So i guess Thorpe could argue that what the drone operators are doing is putting people at risk. but heck, what do i knoww

UK parks should follow Energylandia... you get an approved sticker on your chest mount to say its been inspected for safety. You can then film on ride. They still dont allow wrist mounts but I guess they are not deemed as secure.

imo It's the park's uneducated policy makers "ruining people's day", not licensed drone pilots following the law.... If the parks wants to control the air space they can ask the C.A.A and see how that goes... Or instead of spending however much they spent on this OSL contract, use that money to employ a couple of permanent drone pilots that can fly higher than these 249 gram DJI drones that most people have, zoom in and log the operator ID on each drone, which should legally be on display, just like a car number plate so it can be linked to someone. Any that do not have this clearly on display or have been seen flying dangerously could perhaps be considered a risk and warrant a ride stopping, but stopping a ride for a mere "drone sighting" is laughable. Drones will only become more affordable, available and popular with time, flat out "banning" something rarely makes the problem go away, in fact often times it makes the problems worse, as it has here. Tricky subject to tackle I admit, Subscribed! Edit: Obviously that guy at 2:35 was flying irresponsibly, way too close to the ride, one sudden strong gust of wind could have been very bad. Instant ban for anyone who endangers other guests, airborne or otherwise imo!
