chasing money might bring you short term success, but chasing your purpose will bring you much more success & happiness in the long term
Not gonna lie, I used to chase money. And I was good at it. Paid for a new sports car in cash, penthouse condo downtown and made $200k a year at 25 years old. I'm telling you guys - it's empty. Both in the pursuit and the people that surround you in that lifestyle. Literally, gave up everything. Sold the condo, the car donated my suits, clothes and shoes AND quit my career. Now I live mortgage free in a house I built living a minimalist lifestyle. My expenses are less than $1000 a month, so I'm not "hustling" to make a lot of money. The most freeing and fulfilled I've ever felt being free from "working" and handicapped by month bills.

Kinda disagree bro, because there are actually real life shitty people out there who have a ton of money.
Money and luxuries only add up to the happiness that you already have (that too for a short period of time), Money and luxuries cannot make a miserable person a happy person
I definitely chase money, but it's for my own financial freedom, not to be wasted on material items that decline in value

Nothing wrong with that.
Gary just mentioned how he used to knock on doors offering to wash people’s cars..that’s true hustle and passion for success. No entitlement whatsoever ..that’s why I admire this man so much.
In order to fly... You must know and understand what it's like to fall...
I don’t know what Im chasing I don’t care about the luxury’s but I just want to take care of parents so that needs money
Truth: Unhappiness is not sustainable. Love this!
"Those things are not even on my radar" I so loved that part
I don't chase money. I work to learn more skills to earn more money. I value every lesson and make that experience a part of my personal growth.
The only thing that makes successful people successful is they don't❌ care about these luxuries🚔 they want to make an impact in the world🌍 the moment you realise this and do the Same then you can make the impossible possible🎯

this video isn’t for everyone, there’s levels to every stage in life. a person with little to nothing can’t truly appreciate the wisdom spoken here, it takes burning through thousands on useless shit to understand what’s really important to YOU. I still chase the bag, but what im planning on doing with has vastly changed.
memories over money when u die what really matters n lives on 💜
If only i could learn how a sports car is not cool or a boat wont make me happy that would be awesome. Couse when i think happy those are like the first things i think about.

Wow! I feel really sorry for you, kid.
I get it, even the bit about being born in a different place to first generation immigrants. I so get this story. The meaningful substance, the passion and the struggle, above all embracing the scenario against all the odds and keeping your empathy along the way.

I am chasing money, and still staying minimalist. I want more money to have access to other stuff I want that is not accessible for now due to money.

True. I agree. Theres nothing wrong with chasing money. Its always the folks who chase money who say "dont chase money" I think its a justification and a type of self glorification. At its core Gary does chase money. Its just that he wont openly admit it. Everyone chases money. No one will admit it. People need to stop demonizing "chasing money" when its actually what they do. You go to work for money, period. Just because he "leaves money on the table" doesnt automatically make you noble lol.

@@STGFilmmakers i agree as well, but let's define chasing money. If you're working a job making enough money to live comfortably and do the things you like, then yeah chase that type of money. But if we define it as making it the vocal point of our life, we ain't going nowhere

Thank God for you, may he richly bless you. Negativity is a real thing out here.
This is your best video. Honestly. You cant appreciate the little bits and tiny rays of joy and good fortune without having everything you know in our current state of mind blow up, right in your face
Gary V, you’re videos are truly inspiring! Thank you for all of your videos!
Love this message! In my opinion, a foundation of failure = Knowledge and Resilience
Yes I Do I'm willing to put forth the effort, time and patience for what I want in life.
thank you gary.....means so much.

I don’t want to like money but I do, the worst is that I don’t make enough, so sometimes I think to myself to stop chasing money, but at the sane time, I want the money. Hard choice

I love you G♥️♥️
Love you said hi build a business around your hobby. I am doing that exact thing.
I respect his HUSTLE... 99 % Visual 1% Vocal.
Garyvee I need your opinion on a life decision it may be small compared to others but this determines some serious home decisions
HAPPINESS ALL DAY!
I love how cars prices etc just aren't on his radar at all. It's fascinating to me. On the other hand: how does he get around then?!
You know what, I want to build an environment around myself kinda like his wherein I could just scream whenever I want & people wouldn't be like "wtf is wrong with him" and just accept/don't judge it. That'd be a huge thing.
im gonna say this in the most honest way possible : im never EVER gonna create a business, because im simply not made to do it and i dont have the skills and the patience and didnt had enough failure in my life that puts me in a position to actually succeed , it hurts me a little bit but it's the truth

I will meet Gary Vee ‼️ gonna speak it into existence ✨
I see that now. Golden Nugget : Its hard and takes a very long time. Are you still interested. Long Currency Game
may I know what is the real meaning of chasing money? I thought that we need money to survive and to live, therefore we work to get money. Isn't this also chasing money too?
Yup, talk about how little money is important to you when you’re rich because you have it. Or talk how little money is important to you when you’re poor as you haven’t got any to make you feel better.
Its hard and going to take a long time.. Pure Oxygen brother, when it gets easy a true entrepreneur is already teeing up some pain..
You look a lot like Mr.Bean. both amazing people

But my purpose is to make alot of money so I could be comfortable
I am building my business creating commercials on social media and I don't mind how hard I have to work or even how long it will take. My problem is, how do I pay my bills? jobs in this country ( South Africa ) are very scarce, especially for a 47-year-old guy like me. As I write this, It is 1 April, my rent is due and I have 40 bucks in the bank. I just need a break.

Awfully ironic that 99% of the ads before Gary’s videos are “ entrepreneurs” selling ways to make hundreds of thousands. Just sends the messages of his videos home even more: Don’t focus on the money, focus on your happiness.
What is my purpose
The sound of a lambo and its engineering I think still cool . Not to impress others though Jay Leno is very humble apperaticates the engineering so sorry I still personally find life was meant to be lived. And a lambo would really help spice a summer night.
When you see instagram stars, youtubers, whatever basically kids with mass amounts of money they don’t deserve in an honor sense. Yeah it can be hard to be patient because you think “these people younger than me have all this money from doing something we all do every day and I’m stuck here working my ass off, doing something only a couple others can do and I’m getting no where.” It can be hard to wait when you see happiness around you and you just can’t seem to figure out how to find your happiness. It can go for assholes who have great significant others they don’t deserve and spoiled brats telling others how they should live their life or what they should do with their money when the brats just got lucky in the first place. Motivational speakers are the worst in my opinion because for the most part, the people I know that like to give motivational speeches secretly hate to see you succeed without their help. Talk to someone who wants to give you advice. Tell them that you are confident and you can do it without them going through their whole speech and watch them start to belittle you. Say you are cocky or some people in this world are suppose to be in last place. People want to feel like they matter. But yeah, it can be hard to be patient.

Milan, with all the love possible and the least amount of hate, the time and energy put into something like this , means you have the time to put that towards a positive. In which is crucial, because we must fail to learn, and one stepping stone at a time. Basically, don't focus on others, do it for yourself and use your time wisely to put yourself in the position YOU want to be!
i dont want a car i dont want golden chains i want a twisted bow
Some times I fart in glass jars and sell that. That is how measure success. I call the jars Miracle cure to stuffy nose.
Hi
biztos nem kovetem a tánácsaidat :)))))))azt csinálok amit akarok:))))))) bocsi :)))))
But what if you do want a fancy car?
I dont get the concept of buying it if you can afford it, what I get is live as frugal as you can and with the money you can afford raise the awareness of this planet. As a starting point equal opportunities to anyone, i cant really grasp the fact that someone right now doesnot have a shelter and proper food, i just cant grasp that and someone else is buying an art painting with 5M dollars.
My purpose in life is to get an Audi S5
I've been there before I earned 50 million a year until I woke up
Gary V doesn't live his life based on ego or opinions of others, Gary V is flying commercial and doesn't give a fuc*k.

Cool, you don't like cars and jewelry. So what? Who cares man. Millions of others do. How does continuously voicing your hatred for cars, watches, and paintings help the people who love cars, watches, and paintings.

STG Filmmakers he is explaining it doesn’t make people happy and that’s a fact. He is not saying he is against material items he just doesn’t want them himself. Millions of people get into debt to improve their lifestyle to impress others with cars watches etc. It’s unsustainable. Your real job starts on the weekend when you spend your hard earned money.

Monkey Man got it. All I'm saying is there are people that CAN afford boats, cars and watches and they are happy. No one can convince me that there are zero people out there with material things that are not happy.

STG Filmmakers he’s not saying that jeez man you missed the point. He’s saying materialistic things don’t make you happy. It’s the other things in life that made those rich people happy. Money brings pleasure, not happiness. Pleasure is short term and it burns out easily.

Monkey Man cool. To each his own man. I'm wrong. But I really don't give a fuck. Just because someone has a huge following doesn't automatically make them right. It's totally ok for me to disagree. Pleasure or happy, it all means the same thing bro. Even if you look up the meaning it literally says "a feeling of happy satisfaction".
