Grace, I've followed your channel for quite some time. And I have to say that this is in my opinion is your best video to date. I love seeing you out on lake Kivu with your hair flowing in the wind ! But, this was so helpful and educational. Prins has such strong presentation skills and he backs it up with a solid understanding and comprehension of the laws/rules surrounding purchasing a property in Rwanda. He was so helpful and informative. Your questions were excellent Grace. You really asked most of the questions that most of us have. With real-life examples. And Prins was so good at addressing these questions. You can tell that he knows what he is talking about. Mortgages. The interest rate on a mortgage in Rwanda could be 14%/16%. This is so high because of Rwanda's low credit rating. The Rwandan central bank has to pay a very high rate of interest on the money that it borrows to give to customers so unfortunately it has to pass on that cost. In Europe you can borrow money at less than 3%/4% depending on the mortgage product. So, as Prins said foreigners who want to buy or invest in Rwanda would be better advised to raise the finance outside of Rwanda. Cultural differences. I agree with Prins. Rwandans are so friendly and helpful. But.... learn Kenyarwandan it makes such a difference. I always find it amazing how positive and "cool" Grace is and you have found a soul-mate in Prins. He is so Rwandan and by that I mean so relaxed and confident. What a wonderful video, thanks for sharing.

Is it true that the land size for foreigners to buy is 400 SQM or 500 SQM? Some people say it’s 300sqm, others say it’s 500sqm and in this videos the guy says it’s 400sqm and what if as a foreigner i want to purchase a residential house that it’s built on a land size of 480sqm or 500sqm maximum, is that possible?
