Don't Be A Do Badder (Bing Crosby) | Robin and the 7 Hoods | Warner Archive

Robin and the 7 Hoods (1964) #WarnerArchive #WarnerBros #Robinandthe7Hoods
It's The Rat Pack with a very special VIP "plus one" in this sly Runyonesque musical revision of the Robin Hood legend, done up Chicago gangland style. Frank Sinatra stars as Robbo, caught up in a gang war with rival mobster Guy Gisborne (Peter Falk) after mob chieftain Big Jim (Edward G. Robinson, in an uncredited cameo) get the big rub-out. With allies Will (Sammy Davis, Jr,) and John (Dean Martin) at his side, Robbo gets suborned by Big Jim's daughter Marian (Barbara Rush) to ice the man that iced her dad to the tune of 50 Gs.
Directed By Gordon Douglas
Starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr.

The movie is about a hidden speakeasy under a church. Although I love them all, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Bing Crosby were all pretty heavy drinkers and smokers. Frank had Mafia affiliations as well. I love the arts from the time period, but don't be blind to the many faults of 1960's society.

choctawgirl26, Re:”black kid’s shoes”, it has to do with the “film title” and the “period of time in which “Robin Hood” came from (in other words their ‘period of dress’ at that time). Errol Flynn’s version (a Classic in my opinion) will give you insight about these shoes.
