Urgh. I figured it would've been on since these reviews I watched were YTers that have a lot of high end bags. I trusted their judgement since I figured oh, they have the same standards as I do. Nope. Clearly not. How foolish of me 😭

A few years ago I purchased a Jimmy Choo bag based on a Tamara Kalinik video. Big mistake..it was so heavy must have weighed 10Lbs empty lol😮 The bigger influencers aren’t reviewing the items they show and most are gifted! Love her videos but lesson learned!

I try not to buy any bags online nowadays. No matter how great the reviews are, some things are very personal. For example I thought Polene would be great, I wanted to get 2-3 from the Paris boutique. But I left in disappointment bc the leather is so stiff and plastic, glazing not straight etc. Glad I waited to go in person to buy one. Great video!! Thank you for your honesty xxx

You're right, everything is super personal. I think its ok to buy online as long as the site/platform is super easy to work with and have a return policy. Polene has been great in years past. Quality has declined as of late.

I bought JW Anderson The Corner bag, partly because of the influencers and partly because I found it on sales. While it doesn’t feel luxurious, I like it and it has become my go to everyday bag. It’s lightweight, for now cannot complain about quality and moreover it’s more spacious than it looks like. But I wouldn’t pay for it the full price of around 1000 USD for sure.

I purchased the exact same pink small corner bag and returned. For me it was getting in and out of the bag-ugh too much trouble. I did purchase the small corner leather bucket bag and love it. Leather is really nice, bag is super lightweight and it works perfect for me.

Yes. Always do your own research and don't do what I did...

That tote bag is the adult equivalent on the toddler shoes that squeak when the kid walks in them so the parents know where their kid is. Yeah, I don't think the sound will go away. Both JW bags would look cute with a corgi charm though!

Oh wow. I have two JW Anderson bags and the quality and leather are rather good. They were part of the Run Hany limited collection (Korean anime). I've always thought about buying more from this brand but now I better think about it!

I was between Toteme T-lock and the JWA corner bag. A friend of mine told me to get the Jacquemus Le Calino, instead of the JWA Corner, or go ahead and buy the T-lock. I was lucky I could feel the leather of the corner bag and the le calino in person before buying it, I thought this must be a joke. Corner is soooooo bad, compared to the buttery soft Le Calino (but it also seemed too soft and precious). All in all I bought the Toteme T-Lock and I’m very happy with it, it looks very luxurious but slouchy/casual at the same time.

I am starting to wonder if some of these luxury KZreadrs are responding to the financial times by only reviewing bags that are sent to them. I have seen the same mid range bags reviewed by everyone Demeiller, that sogmont, and this other French one. You are the only person with unique ones

At some point, you need to diversify and cater to what your viewers are asking for. I'm a small content creator hence I don't get too many brands reaching out to me so I do have to spend more money to review these indie brands. But I'm happy to do so because this is truly a passion of mine! Thanks for your support 😍

@@Somehowadultingit’s the numero nuef I believe? The one that’s shaped like the dumpling. I bought it probably 4 or 5 years ago before the quality issues. I got the chestnut color and I just think it looks plastic-y. I also hate the thin little shoulder strap. I just think it looks cheap. I know that many love Polene and I just don’t like this particular bag.

Hi, just wanted to know something. About the JW Anderson cornet tote bag( the one at min 11 aprox) how do you feel about the stitching on the bottom? I got mine as a present, it’s very heavy and the stitching on the bottom seems to actually break into the leather! Has anyone been encountering this or is my bag a fake?:(. Once again, i got it as a present, i did not ask the buyer where they got it from but i am guessing they did not buy fake, or did not try as we are talking about really close friends. If anyone has noticed that flaw, of the bottom stitching cutting into the leather, please let me know. I would like to try and sell it but i would not sell a fake!

Hi! I don't have the bag with me so I can't check for you however I dont think it would be fake as this was not a super popular bag. Try Google lens it and see if any effy sites come out with it. That should be a good indicator if yours could be fake.

Dang! Your JW Anderson pink bag is so pretty. It's sad it's lacking in quality. Oh well, NOBODY looks at our bags as closely as we do.😂And I love the look of your tote. I think the squeak will go away, but sell if you must. We handbag lovers revel in getting a new bag, so unboxing fails are a major bummer.😟🤗🌻

I found a new annoyance with this bag. The opening of the corner bag is impossible to get in and out of. I hate it.

JW Anderson versus Loewe is like Karl Lagerfeld as brand versus Chanel…. Always thought it was a copy brand actually (KL, not JWA ) 😊 For the material description of the small corner bag in black it says 90% calf leather, 8% Nylon and 2% polymer… that is for the outside, that will tell you how heavy the coating is… real heavy, which gives you the plastic feeling, if you’s is the same… some of them say 100% full grain calf leather, so maybe different… but the inside is 60% nylon/40% polymer… so not really high quality for 1000$

That is super true. I should have known better. Foolish me, I figured for the other YTers that have a vast range of high quality bags said nice things about the corner bag. I'm like ok cool let's do it. It must be nice. I should have done more due diligence on my own. I also bought it from shopbob which I don't think have the full description.

There are 4 brands popular with influencers whose quality I've been dubious about: Senreve, Parisa Wang, DeMellier and Mansur Gavriel. The fact that so many influencers have gotten Senreve & Parisa Wang bags for free makes me doubtful whether their endorsements of these brands are genuine. I haven't seen any Senreve or Parisa Wang bags in person, but from the videos and photos I have seen, both brands' leather looks plasticky. As for DeMellier and Mansur Gavriel, I've touched bags from both brands in a department store and I did *not* like the feel of the leather.

Have you checked out my video of all the popular IG bags that I won’t spend money on? You might find it interesting which is aligned to much of what you mentioned. I will say Senreve is quite high quality however I only own one of their bags. I can’t speak to Masnur Gavriel and I don’t think they’ve gifted their bags to influencers? Not that I’ve seen before. I did buy one for my mom but I haven’t heard her say any faults with it. I do get gifted bags but I will always be honest about it even if I’m gifted them.

@@Somehowadulting I haven't seen any influencers be gifted Mansur Gavriel bags either: I've specifically seen Senreve and Parisa Wang gifted a lot. There's also Teddy Blake: almost every review of a Teddy Blake bag I've seen the bag was gifted by the brand. But the few non-sponsored/gifted reviews I've seen of their bags have been less positive.

I have a suede and leather Demellier, bought maybe four years ago now, still looks fab and leather is wearing well so wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them

On the description did the pink jw Anderson not state leather/vegan leather? Also I second the final sale….i need to see and touch a bag if it’s going to be final sale! Also the squeak of the tote would so annoy me 🙈🙈🙈

the best bag on sale that i got this week was self portrait.

I'm not trying to be miss know it all. My saddle squeaks at times. I use a little powder or saddle conditioner. If you don't want to do it yourself maybe find a cobbler? They should fix it right up. Yes squeaks are annoying. 😊

@@Somehowadulting what I said was a general rule you are buying what you like and what u want to wear, there is a difference, these influencers they get inundated with pr packages and it s unbelievable to say the least, perks.... Normal people who work in an industry get perks as well, for example when u work for an airline you do a free ticket but it has to qualify all the rules and that is once a year depending on which airline you work for, it s not everyday any day

Wait sis you can’t be expecting to get Loewe leather at JW Anderson prices. Esp when it goes into sale that’s when one buys JWA.

Well, the loewe puzzle tote retails for 1850 and this JW tote retails for 1150. That 700 dollar difference is not astronomical so you would think that quality would be similar. I didn't expect it to be the same but as least close.
