Mr. T's reaction makes this clip so much funnier. When Rickles starts and Mr. T tries and fails to hold in a laugh it's beautiful.

@@2Majesties What a weak argument. Are we ever gonna see another Muhammed Ali or Mike Tyson? Are we ever gonna see anyone like The Beatles ever again? Who? One Direction, hahah? Don Rickles and George Carlin were most likely the best comedians ever seen on video or heard on tape. And they're not reincarnating any time soon. Have you seen the top comics of the last 10 years? They're absolutely pathetic compared to "this bygone era", like OP said.

@@raxoTV Great athletes? They keep getting objectively better and better. Roger Federer, Michael Phelps. In the arts, tastes always change and the current generation elevates its own pantheon of greats. I'm 57 and I say, let young folks today decide what they think is great and enjoy it. Many 60s contemporaries thought the Beatles, the Stones & Elvis were crap. They were wrong....

@W Gaston Nobody claimed everything becomes objectively better over time. And 'biblical values' are responsible for some of the most horrific injustices in human history. Theocratic zealots in every generation in the last 2000 years have claimed morality & values are on the decline. Same empty nonsense spouted with zero self awareness. With religious superstition on the continuing decline, that is one thing that's getting better for humanity and reason.

This was hilariously brilliant! First-off, its really good comedy when the roasters who are roasting the roastee can laugh at themselves; before, during and after the roast. Second, their is nothing wrong with good, clean comedy. Don Rickles, The Roaster, made and lost fortunes at it for decades. And was one of the more honored and celebrated comic's of his day. A good man and a class act. Really nice to see all the stars on stage to roast Mr. T. a childhood hero of mine. So many are gone now. Truly class acts. And were actors of my days in the late 70s, throughout the 80s and into the 1990s. I miss them all very much. Thanks again for sharing this video. --David Davidson Paducah, KY. 🇺🇸

He does his Gable impression 1:36. I remember him doing it on the Tonight Show, once. "You have to scrunch your face up like you've just sucked a lemon, to do Gable." He was obviously a big admirer of Gable, and considered it a great honor and privilege to have worked with him in his first movie. Always ready with a rip on anyone, Rickles only had compliments and "good things" to say about Clark Gable--ever. RIP, Don.

To show how big Mr. T. was back when the A-Team was still on TV, when he made charitable or promotional appearances there was a large crowd. I went to the event in Toronto at Honest Ed's department store. This was maybe 40 years ago. The plan was for people to line up outside and go into the store where Mr. T would take pictures and sign autographs. The crowd got too big in the store and so they had to shut the event down. We were just inside at that point. Line-ups got crazy outside and a huge separate crowd blocked the street in front of the store. Mr. T. did go to the display window and say "I Love You All" through the window and the kids went nuts.

no hate yea, but no racism i don't agree, the jokes are racist no matter what.. they're not filled with hate because they were jokes, but they were racist jokes, still people back then knew how to laugh on a joke and people didn't mean harm, at least don rickles didn't
