I finally got to meet Prudhomme in 2023 at the US nationals- such a nice guy and a dream come true for me. Been a fan since I was a kid back in the early 80s and it was awesome to see Capps put his name in the winner’s circle again. Amazing tribute of love and respect to a racing icon.
Pretty damn cool getting a tour by the master himself. Don was a superb driver and owner. When people were watching NASCAR back in the 70’s I was watching Don and Tom burning up the drag strips across the country. That yellow Cuda and the red Duster brings back a ton of great memories. Thanks Don for all of it!!!
It was nice being able to meet a lot of you racers during growing up in the 60s and 70s. The years went by too quick but all the wonderful memories and Times of the tracks at us131 Martin and Milan Michigan. I still live here and I still have my 70 Plymouth. Couldn't ask for a better life really then all the great memories that all of you gave to us at the track
Thank You Don ! What a terrific look at your awesome shop full of beautiful vehicles! Those truck are absofreakinlutley gorgeous ! Thank you for showing them to us !
Don, Thank You for a life time of enjoyment. My Mom to me to Aryway parking lot in 1970 to see this hauler/car combination here in Indianapolis. I was nine years old. Got a couple of posters and met you. It was uber cool! I even joined the "Hot Wheels Club" and the certificate is framed in my office. There is a yellow 1:1 1970 Cuda in my garage which I have fully restored. You made a lifetime fan. That hotwheel connection was like being on drugs! Thanks Man! Love You
I enjoyed this. Though I was born in 73, my oldest brother was born in 55. So right from a infant I was familiar with both The Snake and The Mongoose. From then onward to this very moment, I will always refer to both The Snake and The Mongoose HotWheels funny cars as two of thee most beautiful drag cars ever. I use to follow drag racing. I loss interest in the late 80's, early 90's as the cars just became too technical, and space age looking. I am lucky to have had two much older brothers that introduced me to so much. It is still a dream at age 49, to actually see both up close and in person. Was brought up around auto mechanics. Thank You Don Prudhomme and the late Tom McEwen. Both cars, when I look at them will always bring a smile. Wow, to think, since I was about six years old to this day, I have loved seeing both funny cars. ❤
Prudhomme and Beadle my favorite funny car guys.. that US army lancer funny car almost untouchable back in the day..thank you for the memories
Thank you, Sir! I've been a fan of yours since 1968!
So rad..I still have a final strike tour jacket in my closet..I grew up watching you race and you were my favorite driver for sure brother..
A beautiful preservation of drag racing history I hope the collection is around for the next millennium to see and appreciate.

I am here. And I would pay to sleep on that bare, medically sterile floor just once...
Hey "Snake".....thanks so much for the tour.....we sure miss you out there!
Boy o boy i remember those cars and the haulers . look better now than before and no greasy paw prints all over . great memories
Don Prudhomme epitomizes what made blown fuel racing so great. NHRA owes him alot for bringing drag racing up to a very respected form of racing. Prudhomme's FC's were the tippy top of professionalism.... I use to go up to Prudhomme's shop in Northridge and buy his good, used parts. This is when Larry Dixon was with the team doing the cylinder heads.... In my opinion, Prudhomme will always be the best. One Cool Cat !!
Awesome beautiful collection! The grandfathers of dragracing!🤟😎👍
Those flatbeds are beyond sick. If I wasn't on a budget that makes shoe string look ballin I'd look into one. Awesome garage man
I've been watching you race since I was seven years old, back in the '60s
Thanks for sharing ,,,,, beautiful and amazing to have those trucks still around 👍🏻👍🏻😍eye candy 🍭
Just wanted to tell you that you can see a bit of the old school flair (style of paint & logos) in the Austin Prock Top Fuel dragster and that's something that is missing from the cars they're running today and that's just one of the minor things you bring to the sport Snake!!! I'm not a big Force fan as my blood still runs Mopar but it's a nice change to see! Thanks you Snake for all you and Tom did for the sport and you continue to do!!! I sure miss the ole' 'Goo$e!!
Has to be one of the coolest garages in the world.
Thanks Don, that was a nice tour of those classic dragsters as I remember them as a kid. Btw, the trucks are my favouites, beautiful trucks.
Man I Loved that White Army Snake car as a 8 year old kid ! And guess what I Still Love it at 52 years old !!
Thanks Snake for sharing Your Collection.
R.I.P. Tom McEwen, You will be missed. Thank You for the Great Memories.!!!!
Thanx for the tour Snake, real cool cars
Thats so amazing. So much history.❤️ Thanks for sharing.
"awesome" is the only thing that came to mind
Wow that's amazing! I would have loved to be able to see all that back in the 70's. I was born in 83 but often wish I could have been born even 20 years earlier so I could have experienced some of the best times in history. Thanks for the video.
Wish I had a shop like this. The history of the cars is totally cool.
Wow Don!!! awesome collection!!! Thank you for sharing your time with me, beautiful shop, memory lane!!! thankyou
Awesome collection. Thanks for the video. Big fan of yours. Wish I still had my Hot Wheels Snake and Mongoose set. Yours are a lot cooler than mine. Lol.
I was asked by Ron Capps to deliver the black Copenhagen Camaro shown at 0:29 in my rig to the Peterson Museum back when Don Prudhomme was announcing Capps as his new driver. Ron told me to make sure I brought a suit to wear. After I unloaded the Snakes car I had a great time at the unveiling. My only regret was not taking pictures of the Snake's Copenhagen funny car in my trailer.
Went to a Barb-a Que where Don was present today!! What a fantastic man! Thanks Don for a most memorable afternoon!!

Awesome video thanks for sharing love them old funny cars
That's a very nice shop!! Thanks for sharing
Talk about cool! Those Snake and Mongoose Dodge D700 haulers are AMAZING!! Mattel tooled up a sweet limited edition version of those Snake and Mongoose D700 haulers in 2011 for a cool hauler/car combo set that they released on the HWC site. While they did a fantastic job on the D700 (and the car) I still really dig my old redlines of Snake and Mongoose the most (probably because they were released back int he early 70s when drag racing was the coolest). I think it is really great that you have both of the original haulers in your collection. Thanks for sharing!!!
This is a spare funny car I have! Perfect.
Amazing shop Snake!!! Thanks for the tour.
My great grandmother was really good friends with Dons wife Lynn, I've heard some really cool stories from my dad going to Dons house.
THANK YOU Don, Your video is Special to me on a very personal level because I have followed you “The Snake” and Tom “The Mongoose” since I was a young kid in Kindergarten! I’m 53 now. I designed my Man Cave after you and Tom. Not to brag (but I have a very nice collection) of ALL of your cars, in the Hot Wheel scale. Love you brother, and will always remember Tom!!
Thanks for the tour. AWESOME!
damn right !!! I remember !!! bless you and yours !!!
about 45 years or more ago I had a poster on my bedroom wall It had both those cars on it along with Al Segrini's Black magic and Tom Hoover's Showtime car , You 4 guys are responsible in a way for me moving to the USA and becoming a Chassis builder 30 years ago . Love the A40 wish there had some more of that to see

It Was Extremely Exciting to Watch the Snake 🐍 vs Mongoose Stage at the Christmas tree after their burn outs! Snake seemed to Almost win when me & a class mate went to Spring Nationals. They did some Fantastic Burn Outs! At night the Dragsters you could see the flames coming out of the Exhaust. Loud & Excited!
Very cool thanks for sharing. My kids and I just watched Snake and Mongoose and loved the Movie.

Snake.... thanx 4 the memories ! Watched you fly down New England Dragway 1320 many times and even Gainesville a few times 😉 Have some great old photos of you and the Army car &`old school tow rig ( the good ole days ) Thank you for being a big part of the growth and history of dragracing ! The Army car was a beast...& the Skoal car setting all of those crazy fast World Records 😉 Yes and grew up like many other dragracing rug rats with lots of cool Hot wheels cars , & yes my favorites for sure.... The Snake & Mongoose funny cars 😆 ( Had many final round Indy runs with those sweet cars & orange track down my living room floor ) I just watched a Bill Pitts Series on The Surfers drag team..... Every dragracing fan must check this out...... It's about the California dragracing scene in the 1960's ✌😎 Amazing 50+ / 15 minute segments on The Surfers team & all of the other front engine dragsters that made history back in the day..... don't miss it ! Bill Pitts also has so many more videos and cool photos of that era.... plus great stories from the men that created that history ! Trust me if you are big into the early history of dragracing it will be had to leave this wonderful site 😆

Thanks very much for posting this, I really enjoyed your "Personal" tour. BTW, I just got the Snake & Mongoo$e hauler sets from Hot wheels and they look fantastic. Cheers,
Love the videos Snake.
While on the road, they didn't go back and forth from home base between every race. They used other people's shops to work on th cars for the next race. During a mid-west swing Don, and Billy Meyers would work out of a shop that I did some lettering for. Both teams had to do some body repair, and I got the chance to do some lettering replacement painting on both cars. Don's ended up on a couple of magazine covers with my lettering on it. Got a t-shirt from him I still have. This had to have been 30 years or so I did this.
So cool, Thanks!
LONG LIVE THE FUNNYCAR!!!
