No actually you might not know this because of a late switch to WFAN at Shea Stadium, the last voice was Roger Grimsby saying “You heard the countdown, it’s over”

I don't think it was a big deal. I think the "nappy-headed ho" comment was funny as hell. It's a shame that this got Imus fired. Bernie and Imus were funny as hell. It's too bad the PC police ruined the day...

@IBOGAINE1 What Imus said was kind of funny and not very offensive, but his sponsors and racists like Al Sharpton put the heat on him to apologize. And in order to keep his cushy job, Imus did what any of us would have done by saying we were sorry.

I was a big fan of Imus until he got fired, then made the ultimate sell out and went to WABC. What he said was going pretty low. He'd been testing the waters for years, and finally went over the line. Unfortunately his show has never recovered.

I love how Bernie instigated racist banter on the show and imus follow behind.

They all went on to satellite radio to work again. And with a very lucrative contract. I wouldn't listen - But if you wanna buy it and listen in - it is your choice. But the comment was over the top . . . Benie may be able to justify what happen - But it doesn't make it right.

I dont like Imus I dont like Bernard and think their humor sucks. But for them to get fired for this bullshit is ridiculous.For all the shit that goes on and down for them to get fired over a word i think is just a joke. For Sharpton to go out there and use race for reason to get attention is bullshit. He's said many things in his past that should ruin his career. I think in todays world guys getting fired for words not actions is disgraceful, we do have the freedom.

Bernie was great (RIP) & Imus (despite his personal flaws) was a radio legend who brightened the morning of many listeners for years. The mock outrage (you are correct) is so tired & phony- especially in hind sight.

Maybe Hashem took Bernie, the bald headed stooge, early for his racist comedy. Justice? Yup.
