Don Hansen: Gold, Silver Price Potential Not Just Hype, History Backs Up Gains
Private investor Don Hansen shares his latest research in this interview.
Among other topics, he discusses the relationship between the gold price and US money supply from 1970 to the present, showing how they diverged in previous bull markets and explaining what this historic precedent can tell investors.
"The interesting thing is that most of gains in these bull markets is in the last two or three years. And I think we are at the beginning of that period, which is why I think there's so much potential for gold and silver investors," he explained.

Thanks Charlotte for the interesting interview with Mr. Hansen and his charts. 👍👍
I love those paper/pencil charts... It reminds me the times at the school 30 years ago. Gold price follows money supply because money suply means debasement of fiat currency (like adding water to milk) vs assets while gold as the only real money, keeps its value against assets. Simple.
Good guest, good interview.
Great guest. There is something reassuring about old school hand drawn charts ... Please have Mr Hansen back regularly
Excellent analysis. Great to see an interview without the constant interruptions that you hear on other channels. Thx Charlotte 🥰😘
I love his data and presentation. Gold is the only asset to preserve your wealth!
Less talk more listen. Great interview. 👍
Great interview. Love the hand drawn charts!
I like Don, he's a great guest Charlotte! I'm tempted by the silver stocks, but will be prudent and only invest what I can afford to lose ... Make certain you have him back on when he feels it's time to sell! ;-)
Thank you
Thank you!!! Fantastic!! I remember him from the last time he was on.
Don is an above average guest, appreciated his views and agree with most of his views
Very simple + easy to understand charts
Thanks Don and Charlotte.
Thanks Charlotte ! Thanks Don !
Great guest. One of the best you have on, if not the best. He always delivers great actionable info.
I was just looking at these same number. Asking myself the same question about the money supply and u.s. debt. Until I figure it out, I think it safe to same the government is fudging the numbers. Obviously they are about inflation. But some similar things happened with money supply in great depression era. However the debt was much more stable then. And obviously the great depression was the era they decreases value of dollar by 75%. 1970s changed everything. No more gold standard: debt, inflation, price if silver/ gold skyrocketed. Debt actually steadily rose until 1940, then increased five fold until war ended 1944. It then only doubled in about 25 years. 1970-1980 double or tripled again. And then increased six fold to 5.6 trillion in 2000. And since then has become the 34 trillion or so today. If it continues on this pace, debt will be hundreds of trillions. But I'm pretty sure America is or about to become INSOLVENT. Which means cash is trash literally. 20% of your net worth should be silver and gold. And more if you don't own land. God bless.
Great guest
This was really good data. And the silver picks. He doesn’t have any gold investments?
How about gold ETFs? Are those an option as well besides physical gold?
Two great minds in one place! I hold two of his 4 picks. I have some research to do now.
Doesn’t Mexico have potential jurisdiction issues? Loved the charts.
❤

Pretty sure I’m going to look like Don Hansen by the time my junior gold stocks decide to move up.

I have it on good authority that Don Hansen is only 35 years old. He just looks like that because of his investment in gold juniors.
Hmmm gold standard incoming?

Biden has done a horrible job. Conflicts and wars all over the world. Russia, china, iran and a lot of other nations no longer have respect for america as they know the american president is not in control of anything.
