I would likely use one of the boats on the lake if they were there and fish. I live fishing but don’t have a license in America so I don’t think I would be allowed to otherwise.

If I were here specifically I would likely grill and hang out kind of like you did. Georgia is about taking it slow.

Yes!! I thought that was the best way... I don't love being out in a bikini around a bunch of people so it was great...

Looks peaceful with the place to yourself. How rare is that kind of moment. Enjoy it!

Right!! They were very nice... with the exception of the sound they made... that could easily be fixed though

Pretty quick look at the park but enjoyed that you showed the beach area.

It is a really great park and has a lot of different features... but unlike the mountain parks I visited I really wanted to just quickly give a rundown of what is available

thanks it was a very inexpensive one I just grabbed at WalMart a couple years back.. I needed something new and didn't want to spend a ton so I found it and it suited my need for bright color and print...lol

it is a mix and match suit from Walmart... the entire thing cost maybe $14.

Great of you to share the accessible trails also, I know several people who always are asking me where I have seen them because a lot of parks do not have them.

I like to try to remember to share some of these kind of trails also from time to time when I can.. I have a video coming before long that has 2 great places to go on ADA trails!!

I really love this park I want to go back and visit definitely because it was so chill whenever I was there too. It was a great introduction to the state parks of Georgia for sure.

I have family that lives in this area. That is a relatively new state park.

It really was a much more low key park to visit and I really appreciated it!! I think that is what is great about all the different parks, different ones present different opportunities!!

@@BunnyPlaysHere you'd be surprised how difficult that is to find these days. You make all these videos showing us things to do while Covid is g around. And you do it with such enthusiasm. I really admire you. It's not easy. Please just keep doing what you are doing.

I will... I always make sure to keep safe when traveling and use precautions.. but a lot of the places I have been going are more remote and allow you to move around without worry because much like this place there are not people.... that is what is great about travel... the fun places in the cities are great.. but there are just as many great places more removed from people that you can do things

Definitely!! I live in an area where there are a lot of deer so I always try very hard to be mindful

Another great place in Georgia. We have lived in both Georgia and Florida, I don’t think I mentioned that before. I grew up hiking at Georgia State Parks but have never visited this one. Are there additional trails?

That makes sense... I noticed you had a few recommendations you had mentioned in both...lol.... I did see there were a couple of other trails, I wasn't able to get very much info at the Visitor Center since it was closed and there were no maps outside to take with me otherwise I would have shared... but yes!!

Why didn't you have an adventure in Atlanta, they shoot lot's of movies here, ya know!

I was meeting up with a friend, not all of my friends want to be on camera so I just enjoyed the time and then moved on to the next adventure.... I will be back to atlanta at some point to do videos...

This video was recorded a while back with my older equipment so I have a bit better way of recording now however my budget doesn’t allow me to have a camera person lol

Was this named after someone in your former presidents family?

Usually the visitor center would let us know the history of the park, since it was closed I had to do a little research to answer your questions. The park was actually named after a man who served on the Georgia Board of Natural Resources for many years.
