Of course they can earn a living. Even Mark said his big objection was that they were touring as "Grand Funk Railroad" and not "formerly of Grand Funk Railroad." THAT is how they are making him tour under this incorporation thing and hey, once again, NO FARNER NO FUNK! There are a lot of groups doing this sort of thing and it IS a swindle on the public!

If you have seen what they call the band Grandfunk railroad without Mark Farner all you have seen is a GFR cover band. Brewer was a such a great friend of Mark that he even stole one of Mark's Guitars that Mark had even before the pack and was getting paid to have it displayed. Mark had to hire a lawyer to get it back and fortunately won. I refuse to listen to any of thier music without Mark.

Hey Don Brewer that's really cool man. My life is just getting started trying to get this drummer back up to my potential. I have always loved your style but have my own style as well. I'm really hoping to make your concert August in Georgia this year 2023. I work really hard on that competition but ran into a number of setbacks including what I think is a heart condition which only slows me down. I should know Tuesday and hopefully I can take another stab at this american band competition for drummer I appreciate you guys go along with that. Besides the frustrations of everything breaking LOL I really enjoyed so far. Into the sun is one of my favorites as well. My brothers and myself and my son my nephew's we all used to play GFR songs. Anyway it's been fun and she'll continue to be so

I grew up as a kid listening to "The Real" GFR on 8 track in my parents car, and was always in awe of how awesome the "original three" were as a band, and how great that music was (and still is). Especially the "Red Album". But now I sit here and wonder...how can somebody be a devil, and do the devils work, like Don did to Mark, after all they been through, and accomplished? Okay, so Terry Knight was dishonest as well, and kept you (Don)from making more than you should. So now you follow in his footsteps (Terry) and basically do the same thing to your bandmate (Mark) who also suffered the same fate, to now make him suffer it twice? How do you sleep at night? How do you live with yourself? Being senior citizen musicians, there is not much life left. Instead of taking food off Marks families table, you know, its not too late...you do not even have to admit your guilt, or apologize. Just do the right thing and make Mark and equal with the profits of the band, and do another tour, and put out another album, before its too late, and please the fans, and go to Heaven, and not Hell.

They are having a benefit concert for him, Roger Daltry is volunteering along with other acts. Being that they all have children, I would think they would want to help. Maybe they have, who knows, it would of been nice for them to join the concert. The kids only 21.

@dertrommler54 Unfortunately, from everything I have read, this seems to be the truth. Mark's a Jesus freak, which is his right, but Don & Mel obviously didn't think a GFR reunion should be a travelling tent revival meeting with all the preaching. So odd. You know, Rick Derringer, Lou Gramm from Foreigner, Alice Cooper - they're all about Jesus these days, also Dave Mustaine from Megadeth. Someone explain to me how this happens lol.....ugh. Really kind of odd. But there you have it.
