If the map wraps around top and bottom as well as left and right I think that is a torus, not a sphere. I never liked the north south wrap either.

It didn't kill anyone. :D 30:57 If your closest neighbor is Muspelheim, going for the fire spells and fire elementals might not be the best of ideas. XD Glad to see you going back to dominions again.

Thanks! I'm gonna try to get episodes out as fast as I can but Shadow Empire series gets priority when things get busy, as I started it first

Yes single player is so much more interesting. I really hate multiplayer in any game, it just ruins the experience of a videogame for me (and also ruins the game if it gets balanced for multiplayer).

Dominions is not balanced for multiplayer fortunately, it's an amazing multiplayer game but it's not for everybody. I don't have time to play it so much@@adhabens

I've been keeping my eye on this game but it look sso intimidating to learn. It looks fun as hell and like you can walk away with some really fun stories to tell but... it looks complicated haha

The biggest barrier to playing, by far, is the Pretender design. Do yourself a favour and just generate a random one, hit the "r" key on the Pretender screen, and then jump into the game and play. You'll need to read the manual eventually but you can muddle your way through the first game. DasTactic did a nice video on how to play a game in one sitting in Dominions 5, he's also done a new series for Dominions 6: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l2mOu9KAcbm2dNo.html

This might be too late, but check your force composition and attack orders ;-) Doing the same error twice is ... not wise ... . Btw., if you use a mounted commander to bless mounted troops set to "attack rear", you might set the commander to "spell, spell, attack rear" and the troops to "body guard", especially if you have a commander with recuperation. This way you get 1 more fighting unit into the back of the enemy, and the commander levels much faster. If he survives first few battles, drop one or the other cheap item on him to make him even more survivable. If he doesn't, well, buy and train up a new one, it's still early in the game ;-)

Ah I'd forgotten about that. Maybe a bit risky for expansion as the leader might get killed more easily, but I think with this bless he should be ok. I actually like the sound of that though, sounds like a fun way to play for single player. I do want to be making use of big armies of Roman troops though. If I was playing "optimally" I'd just spam out the sacred cav and expand that way but that's boring :D

I just started a test-EA Ermor game, and on turn 4 a Holy 4 Hero showed up. Guess I have a Holy 5 prophet this game. XD

@@battlemode I just found a "Cave of Dark Rites". And apparently my my Holy 5 went in there and did some soul tainting rites. Which gave him the "tainted presents" trait and made him a better leader. :D
