One correction i need in this video. A few times i talk about boosting death. the Death hat is D5 so D3s need a staff and ring to get there. Just wanted that out there.

Second one is that there is a long chain on healer not working on tarts below. That one I'll test to confirm but it does seem like recuperation is the way to go.

Might have missed it, but couldn't find any mention of the Ancient Presence. Thoughts? It seems kinda similar to the Eater of the Dead, except it won't grow as big/independent and comes as a 25 gem unit rather than a 50 gem commander.

This is really helpful :) I tend to get stuck on the idea of keeping to faction units like a normal military game so I've gotta really learn these conjurations.

Earth kings can be given Stymphalian Wings. Love the videos. Your excellent perspective and explanations are very useful and well presented.

The living air/fire/water/earth spells have the + from higher paths. So if you are W7 you get 7 elementals rather than 4, and have enough fatigue remaining for 2nd cast. This is most common as an option from elemental royalty, but some communion setups can therefore print elementals gem efficiently too. In particular having 14+ air or earth elementals on the field can be pretty significant as tramplers, and water elementals at that count under water are oppressive. Fire is a bit dangerous to own troops unless you resist it, but even that would be non-trivial. Air are probably the most effective with this strat because they fly, and with so many the odds that some will land in enemy mage lines and start trampling them early in the battle are decent. I also wouldn't underestimate sprites as an anti-thug or SC option. They are ranged so ignore defense/glamour/repel, their attack is magic, and it will completely overwhelm reinvig to cap a target on fatigue. Not amazing by themselves but can certainly help shut down an otherwise problematic SC/thug and they're pretty cheap to access if you have the paths.

Minor lore nitpick. And of course completelty irrellevant to the actual content of the video. But i think the presence of awake pretenders does show its indeed not all the losers of a ascencion war that gets showed into tartarus. Thats likely just the ones who made to much use of BVC's or cast astral corruption :D

I wonder what program you use to see all the spells. It is very nifty.

It would be good to get a video about late game evocations I need more information about those weapons of mass destruction

Healer trait does not work on them because it does not work on undead. Same for the chalice.

Yeah I came here to say this. #autohealer does not work on #inanimate. It does work on #undead that are not #inanimate, like Lemurian ghosts, which may be where the confusion comes from.

I'm 100% certain I used the Chalice to heal all the afflictions on my Tartarians. The only thing that was unable to be healed was the Shattered Soul.

@@veliqnespa I was told that was patched a few updates ago. I just ran a test game in debug mode. A healer3 and chalice in the same province as several feeblemind tarts. Sat there for a year, no healing.

Would have been helpful for many people to see actual gearing and scripts. I know it's a lot more work.

I appreciate the video but the quality makes it difficult to read the spells you pulled up.

So.. anyway, another slightly more relevant point i had been considering. Is the large focus on Tartarians really worth it? I mean considering that there are a rather hard counter to undead SC's, namely a smack in the face with a flaming mace. And so i think the majority of your discount Titan builds could likely be beaten by around 10 points of PD, and a indie commander with 15 gems of gear.

I don't actually like Tarts for independent operations against a prepared enemy. They're at their best when used in support of armies in my view, which is how I played them in my R'lyeh game most of the time (except for where I was confident that there were no Tart counters in situ) I'm also really not sure if they're as fragile as you say. They have multiple layers of defence on them, regen quickly, and can have some of the big SC spells up at a relative discount. I focus on them because they're a cost effective, fun way to harness diversity on survivable support chassis in the lategame. In some ways they're like MBTs. Use them against an enemy with no AT weapons, or cloak them in copious amounts of infantry and air cover and let them do their work. At least that's my view.

@@PerunAU It can be that i missed the careful consideration part that was done before launching them. I just noticed then being send off in a way that almost begged to run face first into an undead counter. But you are of course right thats a lot harder to do when they are used as army support. And honestly, even as casters they are a good deal. I do think that alone and unsupported a lot of them are that fragile though. I mean specifically to being smacked for *3 damage before prot. And i guess also to a lesser degree against Dust to Dust. Though thats a pain to script, i have not really managed to make that work myself.

Late game? Just slap a seraph with the ark, some decent armor, some regenerating equipment, and a bunch of gems.
