Dominion Valley
Dominion Valley ranks among the best areas in the United States to live and raise a family. Dominion Valley is located in the Haymarket area of western Prince William County, about 45 minutes' drive away from Washington, D.C. It is a premier community with over 5000 homes, all built by Toll Brothers, and ranks among the best places to live and raise a family in the United States.
Many of the residents of Dominion Valley own their houses. Because it is only Toll Brothers that build Dominion Valley homes, the houses are more uniform. However, their uniformity is only in the esthetics. The home collections include Carolinas, Villas, Executives, and Estates with prices within $500,000 - $1,000,000+.
Buying a Home in Dominion Valley
Over the past few years, Toll Brothers were building and selling new homes in the Dominion Valley gated community. Its proximity to the country's capital and the availability of new homes sold by the builder meant that people would compete for their ownership. Generally, the prices range between $350,000 to $800,000+.
Toll Brothers is an award-winning company that guarantees the residents of quality homes. Dominion Valley Owners Association (DVOA) offers inspection and maintenance services for the homes in Dominion Valley. As per the guidelines of DVOA, every property is subject to a detailed inspection at least once every two years. The checks include the rears and sides of every home.
Disney's America
In the early 1990s, the Walt Disney Company planned to build a theme park near Haymarket, Virginia. The park's proposed area was about 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the Manassas National Battlefield Park. The plan was to have nine areas distinctly themed within the theme park, with many hotel rooms and housing, a golf course, and a vast site reserved for retail and commercial development.
When Disney announced its plan, it would run from 1993 to 1998. The project was initially supported by many political figures in Virginia and the entire United States, but citizens' groups and historians soon opposed it. They were against Disney's portrayal of historical events, and the project also would have an impact on the country's historical sites. The park would be closed for four months every year.
In September 1994, Disney canceled the project. The cancelation resulted from the rising costs, and the idea of the park closing for four months every year would reduce the profits. After Disney abandoned their intention to build Disney's America in Haymarket, Virginia, Toll Brothers bought most of the land and started developing Dominion Valley Country Club. The result is a gated community that ranks among the best places to live in the United States.
Dominion Valley offers many sites for recreational and entertainment activities for the residents. Depending on every individuals' preferences, they can go swimming, golfing, or have fun and meals at restaurants. The Waverly Club fitness center offers residents a place to go exercising to keep their bodies fit.
It is a requirement for every homeowner in Dominion Valley to maintain membership with the Dominion Valley Country Club. Therefore, they make two payments monthly; one to the Homeowner Association and the Dominion Valley Country Club.
