There should be a class of ship called cannon fodder, the most heavily armed and shielded ships, that part being top secret.

And here Damar thought Cardassia would win a battle! Time is not on their side. I absolutely loved playing Armada as a kid. I loved the single player campaigns. So fun. It was nice to see the Premonition.

Ahhh, the Premonition... One of my favourite designs, I use it when I am modding Starfleet Command!

So much for the Temporal Prime Directive... Hopefully the residue for the future weapons beams and torpedoes have one heck of a short half live

The bugships are balanced towards offensive firepower at the expense of protection, and they are hard for older ships to hit with their torpedoes. It really pays dividends to remove them from the board early if you can.

Another epic battle, even Worf seems happy ;) LLAP 🖖 though what ship is that ? 6:08

Yes I think they just might show up the 2 from the Dept of Temporal Investigations.. Well if you didn't help the station , they would not be around..lol just saying.. love part with Worf.. lol.. That future ship in one nice ship, the colors , phasers, torpedoes and shelds.. a proper future ship... very nice battle Captain.. oh and YES.. #SAVETHEMIRANDAS!!!! 😊🖖

Ambassador was an early casualty in round 1. Future redo it looks to have come out unscathed and you can see it laying down fire. Poor Mirandas, and poor steam runner.

Watching the battle again, wow, that first battle, those Damar Class ships did most of the damage to your fleet. They destroyed the Ambassador, Defiant, Intrepid and Streamrunners, as well as the Mirandas in seconds. It is well for the Federation that the Damar was a post-War design. Such a ship built in numbers would have had a huge impact. Indeed, had they had cruisers like that in numbers the Klingons would never have attacked in the first place. I really love those Damars. They completely change the dynamic of the factional battles. BC had such terrible stock Cardassian ships, but using the Damar and the Bakrus (which Badger really needs to try) as their general one-two punch of Heavy Cruiser and Heavy Destroyer/Heavy Attack Ship and probably also the Obsidian Keldon and Sci-Fi's Hutet, one can now add the Cardassians to the Romulans, Klingons and Dominion as factions one can have a big battle with and make it really interesting.

This is very cool

I wish the Breen energy draining weapon had been more of a problem for the Federation. It felt more like a plot device needed to destroy the Defiant. Now don't get me wrong, seeing Sisko's pimp hand get kaboomed so easily was certainly an impactful moment. But I was also expecting the fact that the Dominion, via the Breen, having such a devastating advantage over to be more of an issue.

It had been a problem for the Federation and the Romulands though for some time And it was only the Klingon ships that manage to kept the line on defense until the final few battles takes place. That's why Sisko wanted Worf to stop Gowron from attacking recklessly to the point losing more Klingon warships until they can get on the offensive. The Breen Draining Weapon was disastrous for a time.

I wish I could play BC Remastered but I just can't get it to work. It crashes as soon as I start a quick battle. Tried the 4GB patch, tried clean installs following the instructions precisely. Just won't stay stable.

feel lucky hahahaha it doesnt matter what i do but the game will not load properly and half the screen is missing cos its zoomed in and i cant change it so i cant even move on the menu let alone start a battle lol

If I had to guess, you are running Radeon graphics? For whatever reason, Remastered does what you are describing if you are running any driver version after 23.7.2. If you install that driver, Remastered will work. I've submitted error reports and left comments on nexusmods, but never got any response. I just don't think it's under active development anymore. I think there is a new mod being worked on.

@@thedeadmangaming6200 I ran into a similar issue as this, I had to edit the options .cfg file to change the Fullscreen option on, then (in my case) had to edit the resolution, as my laptop has VERY low res compared to modern standards

@@LukewarmEnthusiast Remastered version 1.2 isn't technically under "active" development by VonFrank (the dev of BC Remastered), though he does have a v1.3 in development, with a rough release of when he deems it is ready. There are some modders tinkering with updates to REv1.2, including Quickbattle Plus modes and ships. Heck, there is a possible Wave Mode/Multiplayer expansion pack in the works. 😅
