It was May of 77. Mickey Spillane had moved to Woodside. He was my next door neighbor. My family heard him get buzzed on the intercom. He said “Ill be right down”. No gunshots were heard. Originally Mickey Featherstone got blamed & arrested for it! Found not guilty.

That was Eddie McGrath on the intercom. Flew up from retirement in FL to assist with the hit. Mike wouldn't have come down for just anybody he trusted Eddie.

My family helped Billy Beattie move up to the Catskills in the late 70's and I spent the summer with him. He taught me how to syphon gas real quick if I was ever in a pinch. I actually really liked him and he was the only guy I ever felt safe around. Some of the other guys were pretty f*ing scary, even when they were just talking about the weather...

Danny Grillo I'm sure owed Stein a ton of money. Stein was the odd man out, nobody on either side cared about him and he had killers who owed him money. He probably thought he was protected and had prestige amongst the Gambino's but really he was on his own, he wasn't tight with anybody. 👻☠

Admitting to being part of the murder would have resulted in sit-down with the Genovese family. They would want reparations for lost money and a continuous percentage of future earnings. Maybe even want the shooter killed as well. 🤔
