@@kavin7012 In most of the parameter Dominar 400 is best, to date i had 15 bikes, out of fifteen D400 is very comfort and most affordable bike in India. If you have more budget you can think of KTM390 Adventure also. last month I bought and done around 2800kms. But to be honest, D400 is theeee best.

Braking technique should always be front tyre centric, i have ridden a lot of dominars and have never faced any issues with the braking on any of them

Bro , many say there is coolant and oil mixing issue . Did you face the issue . Or is good maintanence like yours enough for reliability ??

Kudos to you for mentioning that the tank capacity is too low for a tourer. This is the 10-12th video about dominor 400, and I have never seen anyone even mention it. A tourer should manage at least 400km+ on a full tank. With a big bike like this one, you would think they can fit a tank capacity like 17L or thereabouts. Also, great that you moved that awful number plate from the visor to the mud guard. You may have another logic to it, I don't know but for me, it looks much better there than on the visor! I've seen this on many bikes (e.g. apache)! They should rectify this design or give an option to us for changing its position while buying the bike.

On highway I get 36 and city I get 26..I have also 2017 oct model..I am overall satisfied with dominar and yes have some negitive points but very less..I dont like suspention setup it should have been little softer..I also face vibratition issue but after ecu update and padding under the tank vibration almost gone..I am also hard core tourer company didnt build this bike for offroad so talking about offroad is not justified..Chepest hard core offroad bike starts min from 8.50lac in India,which is suzuki vstrome 650 also less price available versys 650 and beneli trk 502,but versys also not hardcore tourer bike,but beneli trk 502 you can consider as a hard core tourer..And any ways ktm adventure is not capibale of hard core touring..Yeah you are right maintanance cost of this bike is very low maximum middle class can afford easily..Anyways your review is good enough for those who want to buy dominar..Wish you every happiness and prosperety in life!!

Should I buy for general commuting and short trips? I already own Himalayan and Classic 500. I ask this as you have travelled far and wide on the Dominar 400 and there is no experience better than an extensive usage of a particular motorcycle.
